In the 1960 s,Yang Zhengren,a PLA soldier,saw the new spiritual outlook of the Wa people and composed the "A Wa People Singing New Songs",which expressed the Wa people’s gratitude to the Party and rejoiced for the new life,and people had a preliminary understanding of this ethnic minority living in the southwest border of the motherland.From then on,the melody of "A Wa people sing a new song......" has become the "logo" of an ethnic group,and "A Wa people sing a new song" has become the new spiritual image and memory of the Wa people.The "A Wa People Sing New Song" has become the new spiritual image memory of the Wa people.Nowadays,the Wa people have made a historic leap from "singing a new song" to "singing a new song again",depicting the new social outlook of the Wa people under the leadership of the Party in the new era.In different times,media people used different media to record the Wa culture,forming a portrayal of the Wa culture in different times and solidifying the traditional cultural memory of the Wa people at that time.The author mainly takes images as the main research object,based on them,and combines the social background of the times,media memory,folklore,and the value construction of community consciousness to penetrate into the Wa traditional culture and bring it from the edge to the public.We analyze the Wa traditional culture presented in the images,how the images construct the Wa traditional culture and what kind of Wa image is constructed through the social background of different times in the process of continuous changes of media memory.Through the analysis of image texts and communication effects,the value and significance of images in spreading Wa traditional culture is explored.This paper consists of six parts:In the first chapter,the question of "How does Wa traditional culture change in the memory of video media?" is raised.This question is asked by combing the relevant literature in terms of Wa traditional culture,anthropology of film and television,folklore,communication,and sense of community,and analyzing the construction of the sense of community in Wa images in the process of changing times.In the second chapter,firstly,the Wa traditional culture in images is divided into four aspects using folklore,material folklore images,spiritual folklore images,social folklore images,and linguistic folklore images,and analyze how the Wa traditional culture is presented in images.Secondly,there are three aspects of the role of images in the inheritance of Wa traditional culture: on the one hand,images can objectively retain history;on the other hand,images are used to highlight cultural symbols;and finally,the living inheritance of Wa intangible cultural heritage based on the image medium.In the third chapter,the process of media change is divided into four periods:before the founding of New China(before 1949),the exploration and pioneering period(1949-1978),the social transformation period(1978-1999),and the diversified development period(2004-2020),from which the memory construction of Wa traditional culture is analyzed in the context of the four periods.In the fourth chapter,analyzes the communication value and significance of documentaries and films on Wa from the perspective of media memory.In the fifth chapter,from the perspective of constructivism,analyzes how the sense of community is constructed in Wa images in terms of national identity and cultural identity.In the sixth chapter,The communication dilemma in the process of video construction,and the proposed communication strategy to better write the Wa story and spread the harmonious image of China. |
