A Research On Folklore Elements In Fifth Generation Directors' Films

China's traditional culture has been attracting worldwide attention and has a long history.The traditional Chinese literary and artistic morality and theoretical thinking show a rich and colorful display of folklore,which has become the core content of many researchers' research on folklore.Moreover,the study of folklore is also an important requirement for the construction of Chinese traditional culture and the inheritance of Chinese national spirit in General Secretary Xi Jinping's report to the Nineteenth National Congress.Chinese folk culture is closely related to our lives,ranging from clothing,food,housing and transportation to national beliefs.As a mirror of human life in the new era,movies,on the one hand,bring out the old and bring the new into line with the mainstream of the world,on the other hand,become an important medium to inherit Chinese traditional culture.Film and folklore are inseparable.The fifth generation directors' interpretation of Chinese traditional culture is one by one reflected in film works.They are the most powerful interpreters of folklore elements and open a new chapter in the Chinese film market.This paper studies the folklore elements in the fifth generation directors' films.Firstly,it rationally explores the important value of the topic from the research background and significance,and explains the folklore elements from the definition of folklore and folklore phenomena.Secondly,it analyses the creation process and folklore complex of the fifth generation directors' films.Through the transformation stages of the fifth generation directors,the early new folklore films-urban culture In the three stages of excessive-commercial film development,this paper analyses the reasons why folklore elements influence the creative tendency of the fifth generation directors' films,and then systematically explains the characteristics of folklore elements in the fifth generation directors' films,using the professional theory of cinematology,from the perspective of audiovisual language and narratology,analyzes the diverse manifestations of folklore elements in the fifth generation directors' films.Afterwards,through the influence of folk culture on film creation,this paper summarizes the establishment of the status of the fifth generation directors and the influence of film works on the West,and makes a comparative analysis of the early film works of thefifth generation directors and the folk elements in commercial films.They have different purposes,different connotations of folk elements,different ways of expression and different influences.This is the innovation of the article,and draws inspiration from the use of folk elements in commercial films.Using the relevant theories of folklore,Film Semiotics and narratology,based on ontology and innovation,through the research of this topic,we can raise our attention to folklore and promote traditional Chinese culture.
