Critical Research On Zizek’s Ideology Of Cynicism

Ideology is an important theoretical thought in Marxist philosophy.After Marx,many philosophers have touched on and discussed this very philosophical theory according to their own times.Among them,ideology as a kind of false consciousness is the most widely accepted definition.Neo-marxist philosopher Zizek believed that the traditional ideology was no longer applicable under the current historical conditions,and he combined the ideological theory with psychoanalysis to form a unique cynicism ideology.Zizek divides ideology into three types and believes that the ideology of cynicism is the third form,that is,the ideology of being in and of itself,and this ideology is not only a social consciousness,but also a social existence.The ideology of cynicism is the core content of Zizek’s ideology.He reveals a kind of survival dilemma encountered by modern people,that is,under the influence of ideology,the subject of cynicism keeps sane in reason,but "goes along with the trend" in action,and faces his current living environment with a kind of knowingly guilty psychology.Zizek believed that the continuous function of the ideology of cynicism lies in the operation of the illusion of ideology.The illusion of ideology keeps the stable operation of the ideology of cynicism through the two aspects of the structural reality and the construction of the subject.Zizek also proposed a way to go through the illusion,that is,to consciously distance oneself from the illusion by recognizing the fact that there is nothing behind the illusion,in order to realize the criticism of the ideology of cynicism.The cynicism ideology of Zizek reflects the latest trend of the current ideological research,but because he attaches too much importance to the psychoanalytic theory in the process of criticizing the cynicism ideology,his criticism only stays in the psychological level and is not realistic.Therefore,this paper will take his cynicism ideology as the research object and make a critical study of his ideology,focus on the formation of the cynicism ideology,operation mechanism and Zizek’s criticism of the cynicism ideology,and finally from the basic standpoint of Marxism to analyze the significance of The Times and theoretical limitations of Zizek’s cynicism ideology.
