A Comparative Study Of The Ideological Theories Of Althusser And Zizek

Althusser and Zizek are the most representative scholars in the study of Western Marxist theory in the 20 th century.They share the same origin in thought and theory.At the same time,due to the differences in The Times,society,national conditions and development stage,they respectively put forward their own ideological theories on the basis of inheriting Marxist ideological theories.Their ideological theories,reflecting the western economy,society,science and technology,life and other aspects,It plays an important role in the development of Western Marxism.From the perspective of ideological origin,the ideological theories of Althusser and Zizek were both influenced by Marx’s ideological theory and Lacan’s psychoanalysis theory.The difference is that Althusser broke through the original framework and put forward his ideological theory under the influence of Gramsci’s cultural leadership.Similarly,Zizek was also influenced by Althusser and further deepened his understanding of ideological theory.From the main content,Althusser’s ideological theory holds that ideology is a system of ideas,including the idea of a person or a society;Ideology has no history,but it is eternal;Ideology is material;Ideology is a representation.His ideological theory combines ideology with material production,deepens the ideological category,and puts forward the ideological state machine theory.Zizek divided ideology into three categories: in-itself ideology,in-itself ideology and in-itself ideology.He believed that ideology was no longer a false ideology covering up the social reality,but as the reality of our social life,ideology should realize the construction of the subject and reality.At the same time,he also focuses on the construction and deconstruction of ideological illusion to analyze the social function of ideology.To sum up,from a practical point of view,we should dialectically look at the ideological theories of Althusser and Zizek,and on the basis of in-depth analysis,compare and study the similarities and differences between them in terms of ideological origin and main content.On the one hand,we should absorb their methods of comparative study of ideology in multiple aspects and the method of combining knowledge and action,and on the other hand,we should discard their shortcomings.This will help us to deepen ideological theory research under the new historical conditions,help us to resolutely oppose the diversification of guiding ideology,help us to build a good socialist core value system,and help us to consolidate and develop the thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in a new era.
