A Study On The Image Of Returnees In Modern Chinese Novels(1919-1949 )

In the context of globalization,the number of returnees studying abroad is increasing,and ’ returnees ’ are increasingly emerging as an important social group and a new cultural force.Under the specific historical opportunity,Chinese people go abroad to live in other countries,and return to their homeland for various reasons.There are not only the transformation of space,but also the cultural diaphragm of foreign learning,the gap between reality and ideal,the individual subjective value choice and so on.It can be said that ’returnees ’ are emerging figures in modern China.It is not only closely related to the attitude of returnee writers,but also reflects the profile of an era.Only by linking the image of returnees,returnee writers and social history can we better explore their existence value in the history of modern literature.Based on the novel text of the modern period,this paper focuses on the selection of the returnee image with the symptoms of the times and characteristics as the object of text analysis.The purpose of this paper is to analyze the internal factors of these psychological and behavioral factors by combing the image of returnees,in order to provide theoretical analysis and practical enlightenment for the cultural adaptation of returnees.The full text is divided into introduction,text and conclusion.In the introduction part,trace the ’ source ’ of the returnee image and sort out its concept.In the study,we will discuss the background,current situation,research methods and innovations of the research subject.The main body is divided into four parts.The first part combines historical facts to sort out the common characteristics of the returnee image at each stage from the late Qing Dynasty to the new period,and summarizes the stage evolution and image change trend of the returnee image in the history of literature.To explore the meaning behind the image is the change of the whole social and political environment.The second part interprets the image characteristics of specific returnees in modern novels from the aspects of ideal and actual situation,cultural collision and individual differences.The third part focuses on the marginal characteristics of the returnee group,and takes the identity anxiety as the entry point to analyze the returnees ’gaze in other countries and during their return.On the basis of the first three parts,the last part summarizes the narrative characteristics and artistic style of the returnee image writing by combining the creator ’s psychology and the environment of the times.It analyzes the unique aesthetic value and practical significance,clarifies the contribution to the history of literature and the influence of promoting the modernization of literature.The conclusion part summarizes that the image of overseas returnees also lets us look at the changes of national spirit and social value orientation from different perspectives because of its era and special cultural background.
