With the continuous improvement of people’s living standard in China,medical treatment and health have become a social issue widely concerned by the public.Focusing on the new century,the reform of China’s medical and health system has achieved some progress,including the upgrading of medical facilities and continuous improvement of the medical service level.However,due to the unequal distribution of medical resources and information asymmetry between doctors and patients,various medical problems emerge in an endless stream,and the contradiction between doctors and patients is still quite acute.On the other hand,as the "social hammer" reflecting the reality,Chinese documentary has stepped on the high-speed train of industrialization development in the new century,and the content production of documentary have begun to touch on the observation of social reality.At the same time,Chinese documentary producers used the media form of non-fiction images to extend their lens to Chinese medical treatment cause and began to record documentary images in the medical space.Chinese medical documentary start at the beginning of new century,smooth after a relatively long period,with the development of Chinese documentary industry and new media,Chinese medical documentary has realized the transformation of narrative theme,expression mode,communication space and the cultural value,and it has shown ascendant trend in recent years.A lot of documentaries not only focused on the medical hot spots and full of contemporary spirit,but also made remarkable achievements by the help of network media and won highly recognized by the public.As a kind of documentary which reflecting medical emergency events and telling the real stories of doctors and patients,producers shoulder social responsibilities and record the brilliance in the hospital,the documentary story contains rich humanistic care and social cultural values.At the same time,it depicts the medical professional groups in detail and deeply,which is of profound practical significance to the shaping of doctors media-group image,medical cognition and improvement of doctor-patient relationship.Therefore,the spring up background and the status quo of development and creation constitute diachronic perspective of the Chinese medical documentary research,and also can construct the overall cognition of Chinese medical documentary.On this basis,the classification of medical documentary in the current stage can clarify the creation boundary and narrative theme of medical documentary,establish a relatively macro research framework,and enter into the cultural value research of Chinese medical documentary.Doctor is an important professional group which related to people’s life and health,the public credibility of medical professional group affects the general public’s attitude towards medical treatment.At present,the rapid development of network media deeply influenced the doctor-patient relationship,Chinese medical documentary have carried out an in-depth investigation on the working and survival status of medical professional groups.Through the story telling of individual in the doctor-patient relationship,diversified,three-dimensional and professional images of Chinese doctors are created in a calm and objective way,and documentary media also has given power to the media image construction of medical professional group and the resolution of doctor-patient binary opposition.Therefore,to clarify the unique cultural value of medical stories in documentary is of great benefit to keep Chinese medical documentary social popularity and sustainable development.This study focuses on Chinese medical documentary in the past decade,based on the change of content production,expression form and communication mechanism,from the image text,character portrayal,discourse and space construction logic,to illustrates the way of constructing doctor image in Chinese medical documentary and its significance.Furthermore,based on the ternary space theory,interprets the spatial narrative structure of Chinese medical documentary,discusses the profound and multi-dimensional social realistic significance that the ternary space construction brings to the audience psychology.At the same time,according to the documentary text,summarize the cultural value of humanistic expression of medical documentary,put forward the potential development path,which is conducive to the content communication of "Healthy China" policy in the cultural construction level and the sustainable development of Chinese medical documentary.
