“Fostering virtue through education” is the fundamental task of education.It is also the guiding ideology and ultimate goal of university work in the new era.Public art education cultivates the aesthetic ability and artistic literacy of college students,undertakes the important task of implementing aesthetic education,and is an important part of the quality education of college students,which is related to whether the school can complete the cultivation of high-quality talents.But the value of public art education doesn’t stop there."Public art education" as a unique way of education,with its unique characteristics and ways to "Fostering virtue through education" has important value and significance.Therefore,the study of the value of "Fostering virtue through education" in university public art education in the new era not only has unique academic value,but also has great practical application value for national development and national rejuvenation.This paper is mainly divided into four parts to study the value of "Fostering virtue through education" in college public art education in the new era.Firstly,the concepts of "public art education","public art education in colleges and universities" and "cultivating people with virtue" are defined,which lays a theoretical foundation for the following research.The content of the second part mainly starts from the three aspects of value goal,value content and value form,and puts forward the construction of the value system of moral cultivation in public art education in colleges and universities in the new era.Thirdly,this paper mainly conducts a survey on the status quo of public art education in colleges and universities exerting the value of cultivating virtues and people through questionnaire survey and interview survey.Based on the results of the survey,it summarizes the effectiveness and existing problems of public art education in colleges and universities exerting the value of cultivating virtues and people.The paper also makes a realistic analysis of the existing problems and summarizes the causes of the problems in various aspects.Fourthly,this paper studies the realization of the value of educating people by virtue in the public art education of colleges and universities in the new era,analyzes the value of educating people by virtue in the public art education of colleges and universities in the new era from the three aspects of principle,mechanism and path,puts forward implementation countermeasures,and puts forward feasible suggestions on how to better and more efficiently realize the value of educating people by virtue in the public art education of colleges and universities,which should be combined with the actual situation.To construct a new pattern of public art education in colleges and universities.
