With the gradually deepening of China’s higher education reform,public art education is universally concerned and emphasized by colleges and universities with its unique educational significance.As a composition of public art education in colleges and universities,public music education achieved huge development and accumulated abundant experiences from its first opening.The role that public music education played in cultivating college students’ artistic aesthetic ability and improve their comprehensive artistic literacy has become a general consensus in current academic circles.On the basis of reviewing relevant literature,the author thinks that courses that setting around music appreciation is an education model widely adopted by most colleges and universities currently.Theory and practice results also proof that study of music appreciation has an irreplaceable important role in college students’ art aesthetic and creative ability.But we cannot ignore that as the university public music education started late in our country,whether in the curriculum,teaching methods,content selection or evaluation system,etc.have to be improved.How to reflect public music education and achieve its aesthetic value and significance on basis of appreciate teaching still need to face and dept study.Therefore,this article give a brief analysis of the current situation of public music education in colleges and universities in China starting from the particularity of public aesthetic education in colleges and universities with the reference of pedagogy,psychology and other related disciplines,and try to analyze and summarize the relationship between teaching object,teaching method,teaching method and music aesthetic particularity.On basis of these analyses and summarization,This article put forward some views on how to construct a teaching model of public music in colleges and universities with aesthetics as the core,which aims to provide some reference for the development of music education under the reform of public art education in colleges and universities.
