| Since February 2020,under the influence of COVID-19,Chinese teaching is forced to shift to distance teaching.However,most of the existing studies focus on offline Chinese courses.The abrupt change of teaching mode creates inadaptability of different subjects.What problems exist with the new teaching mode and how to renew ideas and methods are the problems that need to be solved urgently.Yangon Noble Language Center(hereinafter referred to as "Noble")is the first school to conduct distance Chinese teaching in southern Myanmar.Based on this,this study takes Noble as an example to investigate the current situation of distance Chinese teaching from the perspectives of teachers and students.This paper combines qualitative research with quantitative research.First of all,carry on the student-oriented questionnaire,using SPSS23.0 to process the data.Summarize the information about device and network,Ding Talk,self-assessment of learning,teaching assessment and comprehensive assessment.Cross analysis the correlations between learning motivation with three dimensions,including attendance,concentration and autonomous learning.Then,explore the correlations between comprehensive assessment and three dimensions,including device and network,Ding Talk,teaching assessment.Secondly,in order to make up for the inadequacy of investigation,increase the effectiveness and reliability of the survey,and explore the situations which can’t be investigated by questionnaire,make a teacher-oriented outline.From the perspectives of teachers to get the information about class,device and network,Ding Talk,teaching process and comprehensive assessment.This part focuses on the advantages and disadvantages of the Ding Talk,the specific application and how to solve the high-frequency problems.The adjustments of each part are also described in detail.Based on the investigation,the following conclusions can be drawn as: Most students learn Chinese at the "request of parents",but the identity of Chinese and the consideration of future education and career are the main motivation to promote students to study seriously.In distance Chinese teaching,learners’ assessment of teaching is not deeply affected by technical factors,but is strongly positively correlated with teaching.Teaching is faced with the following difficulties: Myanmar’s poor infrastructure leads to poor Internet transmission;there are some bugs in Ding Talk;students are lack of internal motivation,independent learning ability and emotional experience;complex social environment can easily lead to cultural conflicts;teachers are faced with limited personal development,outdated teaching concept and lagging teaching design;school is faced to poor learning resources and inadequate staffing;parents do not tie in communication with teachers.In view of the above problems,come up with the relevant solutions to improve the teaching of Noble and provide reference for distance Chinese teaching. |
