In recent years,the teaching of Chinese in Myanmar has been warming up in the context of the global "Chinese fever".As the former capital of Myanmar and the economic center of today,the unofficial Chinese teaching career in Yangon has regained its vitality in recent years.Chinese teaching in Yangon mainly consists of two forms: official government education and unofficial folk Chinese teaching.In these two forms,after many years of development,official Chinese teaching has still not made substantial progress.The official school that runs the Chinese language course is still Yangon Foreign Language University.Therefore,unofficial Chinese teaching in Yangon constitutes the entire Yangon region.The main content of Chinese teaching in the region.Among the unofficial Chinese institutions in Yangon,there are the following important forms: Chinese schools,international schools,and tuition institutions.In February 2017,I was fortunate to be a member of the Chinese volunteer teacher in Myanmar.I have worked two years in the Yangon area.This article takes the research of the current situation of unofficial Chinese teaching in Yangon,Myanmar as my research subject.The Chinese volunteer teachers who teach in Yangon in 2018 are the research objects.Through the questionnaire survey and interviews of the respondents,the unofficial Chinese teaching condition in Yangon is investigated from the quality and quantity of teachers,teaching materials,curriculum and teaching status.The author makes a detailed analysis of the specific cases obtained from the investigation and puts forward some effective suggestions.Based on this,according to the problems discovered,he puts forward his own views and thoughts in order to be able to reflect on the basic appearance of Chinese teaching.It also has some reference significance to the future teaching practice,and hopes to enrich the related research on the foreign Chinese teaching.
