Study On The Artistic Expression Characteristics Of Riverside Scene At Qingming Festival From The Perspective Of Individual Artistic Creation Practice

Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival is a long scroll of genre painting at Qingming festival in Bianjing of the Northern Song Dynasty,created by court painter Zhang Zeduan during xuanhe period.The artistic charm of Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival mainly comes from the painter’s superb artistic expression level,complex and orderly composition,full of natural space,vivid and typical various figures.Since the birth of the work has been highly praised,and has had a profound influence on the later and contemporary figure painting.Up to now,many scholars have made endless studies on Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival.For hundreds of years,there have been rich and in-depth discussions on the artistic language of this famous painting,the authenticity of the author,and even the expressive intention of the work.It would have been difficult for an unknown person like me to have a say in this work.So why did I write,and dare to write? The reason is very simple,it is Marx’s words to encourage me: "for every hundred readers there are a hundred Hamlets".First of all,I like this work very much,and second,this work directly led my graduation creation.Therefore,this paper is not so much a thesis as a reading of notes.At the same time,I have absorbed a lot of nutrition from this work in my creation,so I have also made a systematic summary in this paper.I think,as the practice-oriented graduate students,especially those majoring in Chinese painting,can learn from the excellent traditional experience.The author focuses on the artistic expression characteristics of Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival,starts from the social background of the volume,makes some new interpretations of the artistic language in riverside Scene at Qingming Festival,and makes a systematic study of the way of expression in this volume.In line with this purpose,the article focuses on the artistic performance characteristics of "Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival" from the modeling characteristics,picture composition and spatial expression,brush and ink skills,line language and color to carry out a specific study,and summarizes the artistic value of this volume,and its influence on the later and contemporary figure painting.Finally,I fully understand and apply the outstanding artistic language and unique expression in "Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival" to my creation practice,and sum up the inspiration for my creation.All in all,through the writing of this article,I deeply feel that artistic creation must keep pace with The Times.However,we should learn from the inheritance of classical art and various nutrition of innovation,so as to try our best to find a new breakthrough for the practice of contemporary meticulous figure painting creation.
