| In today’s “One Belt and One Road Initiative”,tea,not just itself,has become a business card of China and a strong link to the world.The real role of tea is not only reflected in the economic level,but more significantly,the collision and integration of national cultures.Therefore,tea not only represents the image and culture of China,but is also a significant carrier on “One Belt and One Road Initiative”.Attention to Tibetan tea not only requires to pay attention to its historical significance,but also to the future of an industry.As a graduate student majoring in translation,the author hopes to translate tea culture texts with cultural heritage through her professional knowledge,so that foreign readers can feel the charm of Chinese Tibetan tea and contribute to the spread of Chinese culture.The translated material is selected from the 12 th issue of Sichuan Pictorial in 2019,“Chinese Tibetan Tea Makes China Healthy—The Legend of Ya’an Tibetan Tea Flowing for a Thousand Years”,which introduces Ya’an Tibetan tea,including its origin,art,secret and change.The original text is comprehensive in content,wide in scope and cautious in language,making readers experience the charm of Chinese Tibetan tea from different angles.Thus,translating this text has a certain outreach and cultural significance.The translation practice project is guided by Skopos Theory and the author adopts various translation methods and translation skills,such as: literal translation,free translation,amplification,and omission.During translation,methods are explained and illustrated,and certain experiences and lessons are summarized for the reference of other translators studying Tibetan tea culture.The author will analyse the difficulties encountered in the translation process and the specific treatment methods adopted in conjunction with the theory of purpose in the context of specific cases of translation practice,from the levels of words,sentences and folk songs,combining Skopos Theory in practice to verify its application of the translation purpose theory in specific practice. |
