Research On Chinese Sports-themed Films Since The Reform And Opening Up

Since the reform and opening up in 1978,the creation of Chinese sports-themed films has ushered in a new narrative context,giving birth to a number of sports-themed films with new narrative characteristics and aesthetic styles.This paper mainly adopts the literature research method,image analysis method and interdisciplinary research method,and attempts to combine the development history of Chinese sports films,the social and historical background of the reform and opening up period and the development status of sports films since the reform and opening up,to conduct an overall study of sports films since the reform and opening up.The first chapter mainly includes two parts,one is to analyze the concept of sports-themed films,so as to clarify the concept and gain a general understanding of "sports-themed movies".The second is to discuss the historical development of China’s sports-themed films to better grasp the historical evolution and cultural traditions of sports-themed films since the reform and opening up.Chapter 2 first discusses the narrative context of sports-themed films since the reform and opening up from three aspects: policy and cultural context changes,theatrical system reform and technological change in the information age,so as to explore the impact of narrative context changes on China’s sports-themed films.Secondly,the narrative characteristics of sports-themed films since the reform and opening up are analyzed,and the narrative analysis of sports film texts is tried to grasp the unique characteristics of sports-themed films compared with other types of films.The article believes that since the reform and opening up,Chinese sports-themed films have the narrative characteristics of transmitting aesthetic concepts centered on the competitive body,social narratives with mainstream concepts as the core,and expanding emotional expression with sports events as the support.The third chapter draws a general understanding of sports-themed films since the reform and opening up,on the one hand,it puts forward the dilemma of the creation of sports-themed films since the reform and opening up,including the lack of artistic appreciation and the constraints of commercial value.On the other hand,it carries out the thinking and prospect of the future development of China’s sports-themed films from the two levels of broadening the narrative field of sports-themed films and improving the aesthetic expression of sports-themed films.
