The Narrative Study Of Chinese Sports Movies In The 21st Century

In the 21 st century,the creative level of Chinese sports films has been continuously improved,and the combination of ’ power ’ and ’ emotion ’ has shown its unique narrative charm and humanistic value.Diluting the gold medal theory,focusing on the care of individual life,showing personal struggle has become the main creative feature of this period.At the same time,as an important channel of cultural communication,sports film not only promotes the sports spirit,but also promotes the Chinese excellent traditional culture to go abroad.Many excellent sports films show the strength of China to the world,but also enhance the national self-confidence and identity of the Chinese people.This paper takes Chinese sports films since the 21 st century as the research object,combines film narratology,semiotics and other related theories,uses literature research,text analysis and other research methods,and focuses on the narrative content,narrative skills and narrative effects of sports films.In-depth study of the narrative of Chinese sports films since the 21 st century,and strive to have a more comprehensive and clear understanding of its creative background,character shaping,theme selection,social value,and artistic style,and provide reference for subsequent research on sports films.This paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter is the study of narrative content.After entering the 21 st century,Chinese sports films have got rid of the grand national themes such as sports saving the country and winning glory for the country.They have begun to pay attention to personal growth and dig deep into human nature.The themes of inspiration,growth and youth are written in multiple ways to express the spirit of the times.In terms of characterization,sports movies create a diverse individual image,highlighting the humanistic connotation of the Olympic sports spirit by showing the truth,goodness and beauty of the characters.The second chapter is the study of narrative techniques.This paper introduces the related concepts of semiotics,discusses the role of culture and prop symbols in the film plot,and explores the narrative function of the two in reproducing the game scene,rendering the story atmosphere and expressing the emotional changes of the characters based on the use of scene and sound setting.The third chapter is the study of narrative effect.Sports film hides the grand theme in the micro description,transmits the national spirit through the backtracking of collective memory,and shapes the national image.At the same time,sports film adheres to the type integration on the basis of local characteristics.Therefore,it not only guarantees the artistic level but also caters to the audience market,and effectively tells Chinese stories and spreads Chinese culture.Throughout the development of Chinese sports films in the past 20 years,although some achievements have been made,they still face problems such as single theme and insufficient profound conception.In the future development,only by basing ourselves on China ’s national conditions and digging deeply into the humanistic connotation of films,can China ’s sports films give full play to their role as a bridge between art and sports,and embark on a unique road of genre films.
