Visionary leadership is a management style that has emerged in the West in recent years,and plays an important role in leading the rapid development of teams and improving the self-efficacy of organizational members.It can effectively affect the cognition,psychology,and behavior of organizational members,improve team performance,and exhibit a strong impact on organizational operations.Currently,relevant research on visionary leadership in China is not widespread,and various scales are relatively complex,and there is no mature scale applicable to Internet companies.Therefore,this article focuses on the role of visionary leadership in teams,adopts qualitative and quantitative research methods,and through two studies,builds a structural model and scale content of visionary leadership in Internet enterprises,and explores the internal relationship between visionary leadership and team performance.Based on grounded theory and literature analysis,Study 1 conducted a semi structured interview,collected 301 valid trial questionnaires and 170 valid preliminary questionnaires for analysis,and constructed the "Visionary Leadership" scale for Internet companies.Based on the scale of study 1 and study 2,a total of 356 valid questionnaires were collected,and the obtained data were subjected to statistical processing such as common method bias testing,reliability and validity analysis,descriptive statistics and correlation analysis,regression analysis,and intermediary effect testing,to test the internal relationship among the three variables.The research results show that:1.The self compiled scale "Visionary Leadership Scale" applied to Internet enterprises consists of three dimensions: vision behavior,vision expression,and vision motivation,with a total of 27 topics.The scale has a high reliability and validity,and can be used as a measurement tool for the level of visionary leadership.2.Visionary leadership has a positive relationship with the level of team performance.3.Visionary leadership has a positive relationship with the level of general self-efficacy.4.General self-efficacy plays a mediating role in visionary leadership and team performance.Through the study of the relationship between visionary leadership and team performance,this study effectively reveals the positive role of visionary leadership in Internet companies.On the one hand,it fills the gap in domestic research on visionary leadership,and on the other hand,it plays an important guiding role in the actual work of selecting and evaluating leadership for future Internet companies and organizations.In addition,this study also explored the mediating role of general self-efficacy,and further explored the internal relationship between visionary leadership and team performance.It provides new ideas and methods on how to apply and play the role of visionary leadership.
