A Study Of Ren Fang’s Poem Allusions

Based on the Ren Zhongcheng Collection of Zhang Xie’s Qi Shi Er Jia Ji in Ming Dynasty,Ren Fang’s 21 existing poems are counted.Starting from the unique perspective of using allusions,this paper analyzes the allusions of Ren Fang’s poetry,so as to provide a new perspective for a deeper understanding of Ren Fang and his poetry.The full text consists of an introduction and five chapters.The introduction first combs the research status of Ren Fang’s poetry allusions,clarifies the significance of this topic and the research methods used,and explains the relevant concepts of allusions involved in this paper.The first chapter mainly introduces the sources of Ren Fang’s poetry allusions.Ren Fang’s poetry uses allusions from a wide range of sources,including The philosophers,classics and histories,and belles-letters.Through the investigation of the source of his allusions,we can intuitively understand the knowledge structure of Ren Fang.The second chapter analyzes the use of allusions from the Philosophers in Ren Fang’s poetry.Ren Fang quotes the rhetoric of The Book of Songs at most,and quotes the events of the Zuo Zhuan at most.The allusions from the Philosophers mainly reflect his deep Confucian thought.The third chapter analyzes the use of allusions from the Histories in Ren Fang’s poetry.Ren Fang’s poetry could properly select the words,historical figures and stories to convey his sentiment.In addition,the use of allusions from The Classic of Mountains and Seas makes Ren Fang’s poetry appear strange.The fourth chapter analyzes the use of allusions from the Zi radical in Ren Fang’s poetry.Ren Fang quotes Zhuangzi at most.And the fables in Zhuangzi make the poems full of philosophical thoughts.The allusions from the Zi radical reflect that Ren Fang was also deeply influenced by Taoist thought.The fifth chapter analyzes the use of allusions from belles-letters in Ren Fang’s poetry.Ren Fang quotes the most rhetoric from Chu Ci,and he also pays attention to studying the poetry and dictionaries of the famous Han and Wei masters.In addition,Ren Fang follows the example of Tao Yuanming.He uses a lot of function words and remarks,which makes his poetry showed a tendency to prose.Through the investigation of the allusions used in Ren Fang’s poetry,it can be seen that Ren Fang has absorbed the essence of the previous classics and improved his own poetry techniques continually.At the same time,the use of allusions reflects his extensive and profound knowledge base,literary thought and fluctuating mental journey.
