The Research On Allusions Of Su Shi's Ci

The research object of this paper is the allusions of Su Shi's Ci.The research method is intensive reading of the text.In Chapter One,the paper reveals the relevance between Su Shi's reading and the allusions he used.The most important categories of books that Su Shi usually reads are Confucian classics and history books.Su Shi attached importance to the history books of Han and Tang dynasty.In addition,he also studies on novels,traditional Chinese encyclopedias and poetry anthology of poets in Tang Dynasty.Therefore,most allusions of Su Shi's Ci are historical allusions and literature allusions from ancient poets.Su Shi has access to read and borrow books so that his knowledge is extensive.He explores and masters several methods to read,hence he accumulates abundant knowledge,which are beneficial to his utilization of allusions.In Chapter Two,by contacting Su Shi's social intercourse and experience on official position,his three kinds of selecting allusions are found.He selects allusions according to writing object,writing place and some historical events.These reflect that the characteristics of his quotation are flexible,that is to say,he could select allusions according to his emotions and events he is experiencing.In Chapter Three,his applications of quotations can be classified into negative use,overlapping use,indirect use,borrowing use and different use of one same allusion.Those show the features of Su Shi's Ci.The application of quotation of Su Shi enriches the topic contents and emotional realm in Ci,which also play a role in entertainment and communication,besides,help to express his own feelings,thoughts about life and philosophic interest.In Chapter Four,there are four emotions in Su Shi's Ci that has allusions.First,Su Shi satirizes the New Law implicitly with the help of allusions.Second,Su Shi reveals his humorous attitude by tantalizing his friends and himself.Third,he expresses his feelings in parting time,including unwillingness,comfort and other sight about life.Fourth,he shows his seclusion aspiration and his pursuit of spiritual freedom andsubjective value.
