With the development of The Times,the illusory concept has been continuously endowed with new expressive significance in contemporary easel painting.The concept of illusion is universal in the creation of paintings,and can be found in traditional Chinese paintings,surrealist paintings,some abstract paintings,spatialist paintings,symbolist paintings and some contemporary paintings,even in figurative oil paintings.Langer,Susanne Katherina Knauth’s theory of illusory space and Langer,Susanne Katherina Knauth’s mirror theory provide theoretical guidance for the expression of illusion in art creation,and different artists use their own unique painting language and expression to present illusion in their oil paintings.The illusionary expressions in oil paintings can convey the real emotions of the artist’s heart.The construction of illusionary concepts in paintings can close the psychological distance between the viewer and the artist,allowing the viewer to resonate with the artist’s emotions when viewing the works,and also increasing the space for imagination.The starting point of this paper is based on the concept of illusion in contemporary figurative oil paintings,and the current situation of research on the concept of illusion in figurative paintings at home and abroad,to explore the theoretical basis of the construction of the concept of illusion in paintings,analyze the artistic value of the illusion factor in figurative paintings and the expression of the concept of illusion in paintings.The first chapter of this paper focuses on the concept of illusion in figurative painting;analyzes the definition of illusion in figurative painting and the theoretical basis of the concept of illusion;and explores the significance of constructing the concept of illusion in figurative painting.The second chapter of this paper takes the paintings of contemporary figurative painters Lars Elling(1966-),Eduardo Naranjo(1944-),Qian Liu and other contemporary artists as the main objects of study,and explores the expressions of constructing the concept of the unreal in figurative painting,from the fourth aspects of painting subject matter,composition,color and modeling style.The research analyzes the fourth aspect of the painting: subject matter,composition,color,and stylistic style,perceives the emotion of the artist’s creation and the aesthetic interest of the picture,and then argues and analyzes the connection between the concept of illusion and the narrative and inner emotional expression in oil paintings.The third chapter elaborates on the author’s creation "Garden Series",and further explores the expression of the illusionary concept in figurative painting by combining the research contents of the third chapter with the practical creation,learning from the expressions of the previous artists and integrating the self-innovation to form the author’s own illusionary painting language. |
