With the outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic,the single offline teaching mode can no longer meet the needs of the teaching of international Chinese education at home and abroad,so online teaching came into being.In order to ensure the effect of online teaching,improve teaching efficiency and cultivate student’s comprehensive ability of listening,speaking,reading and writing,it has become a problem that many international Chinese education teachers must consider to explore a teaching method suitable for online teaching of international Chinese education.Among many teaching methods,Scaffolding teaching method can be one of the choices of online teaching in international Chinese education.Scaffolding teaching method is a student-centered teaching method,which emphasizes the cooperative relationship between teachers and students.Teachers can stimulate student’s initiative to explore learning by creating situations,asking questions,cooperating and discussing,so as to gain new knowledge on their own initiative.For the online teaching of intermediate Chinese comprehensive course,Scaffolding teaching method is more suitable,because the intermediate stage is the key moment to cultivate student’s ability of independent thinking and collaborative learning,and it is also an important stage to accumulate vocabulary and improve their writing ability.Scaffolding teaching method is applied to the online teaching of intermediate Chinese comprehensive courses,following the teaching principles of comprehensiveness and subjectivity,guiding students to explore new knowledge independently on the basis of building scaffoldings reasonably and creating learning environment and sharing the learning results through group collaboration and mutual evaluation.The application of Scaffolding teaching method in online teaching of intermediate Chinese comprehensive course,is conducive to improving student’s learning enthusiasm,cultivating student’s ability of independent and explorative learning,and promoting the development of comprehensive ability of listening,speaking,reading and writing.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which expounds the research purpose and significance of this paper,summarizes the related research on the teaching design,the comprehensive course of intermediate Chinese,the Scaffolding teaching method and the application of Scaffolding teaching method in online teaching of international Chinese education,and introduces three research methods used in this paper.The second chapter elaborates the definition,theoretical basis,scaffolding types and teaching links of Scaffolding teaching method,and makes clear the teaching principles that should be followed based on Scaffolding teaching method.Meanwhile,analyzes the feasibility of Scaffolding teaching method applied to online teaching of intermediate Chinese comprehensive courses by describing the teaching objects,Chinese textbooks,teaching platform and teaching tools.The third chapter is based on the Scaffolding teaching method to design the online teaching of "The Three Most Important Things in Life" in "Developing Chinese(Second Edition)Intermediate comprehensive course(I)".The fourth chapter is to evaluate and reflect on the specific practice of this teaching design,and puts forward some suggestions on how to apply Scaffolding teaching method to online teaching of intermediate Chinese comprehensive courses.
