The Research Of Xu Zechen’s Novel Imagery

Xu Zechen’s works,whether it is the "Beijing Drift" series or the "Flower Street" series,have a large number of images,these images have a strong symbolic significance,but the academic community currently lacks a comprehensive and systematic study of the imagery in Xu Zechen’s novels,this article on the basis of text perusal,from the perspective of imagism,the imagery in Xu Zechen’s novels have been divided into genres,and the functions and characteristics of the images in the novels have been analyzed and discussed,and the deep connotations contained in the images have been excavated.The first chapter is the introduction.This paper introduces the purpose and significance of the topic selection,research status,research scope and methods,and defines the main concepts.Chapter two is the formation of xu Zechen’s novel image.This chapter analyzes the causes of xu Zechen’s image formation from three aspects: his personal life experience,the influence of Chinese and foreign literature creation and the reflection of social life.First of all,this thesis starting from the life experiences of the minister xu,study of his novel creation and image selection and its unique individual life experience,the relationship between the second starting from text study is xu minister in the Chinese and foreign literature classic influence on the choice of imagery,in the final analysis in the era of social life,Mr.Xu minister novel image generated.The third chapter is about the types of images in Xu Zechen’s novels.This paper classifies the images in Xu Zechen’s novels from the perspective of the attributes of images.Referring to Yang Yi’s image theory and Wellek and Warren’s classification of images in Literary Theory,this paper divides the images into dynamic images,static images,space images and character images.Among them,dynamic image is divided into "running" image and "running away" image,static image is divided into natural image and human image,space image is divided into Beijing image and flower street image,character image is divided into body image and name image.The fourth chapter is the feature and function of xu Zechen’s novel image.First of all,this chapter summarizes the xu minister novel image of the unique features,first of all,there are some static image and character image has the characteristics of the abstract and mysterious,and dynamic image and some natural image has the characteristics of the flow and light,another xu minister novel is more close to the real life of the humanities image and name that has the characteristics of the symbolic and philosophizing.Secondly,this paper explores the function of images in Xu Zecchen’s novels.Firstly,images connect the narrative order of the novel,secondly,these images create the inner atmosphere of the characters,and finally,these images carry the function of expressing the author’s ideal emotions.Chapter five is the connotation of the image in Xu Zechen’s novels.The images in Xu Zecheng’s novels have rich connotations.On the one hand,they express people’s pursuit of ideals in the story and the exuberant vitality of the bottom people.On the other hand,they try their best to prove the nihilism of these ideals and express their sympathy for the characters’ pursuit of nihilistic ideals.Secondly,these images often have some realistic significance,depicting the normal urban life in the process of modernization,and expressing allegory and criticism of the real heavy reality.At last,these images,in Xu Zechen’s works full of idealism,contain some spiritual introspection and repentance.The last part is the conclusion,which summarizes the generation of Xu Zechen’s image,the characteristics and functions of the image and the connotation of the image.In addition,it investigates the important significance of Xu Zechen’s creation among the post-1970 s writers.
