Xu Zechen is an influential "post-70s" writer.Research on Xu Zechen,s works focuses on ideological content and art form. However, there are few discussions about the internal relations between his works.Intertextuality is to explore effective research methods in this field. The intertextuality of characters in Xu Zechen's works is mainly reflected in two aspects, namely, the distinct "subjectivity" and "dynamicity".The"subjectivity"character embodied in the text incorporates the author' s unique life experience and can reflect on the self and the world. The characters in the early and late works and the characters with different statuses refer to each other. They convey the evolution of the relationship between people and their hometowns and the "identity" anxiety of people living in Beijing in the narrative of Xu's hometown experiences and urban experiences."Dynamic" is reflected in the fact that characters often appear in different texts in a single or group image.Xu Zechen uses these characters' intertextuality to show the changes and development of the juvenile growth experience and the psychological changes of the Beijing drifters in urban life. These two aspects embody Xu Zechen,s self-creative consciousness as a writer and the conscious pursuit of originality and ideology of the works, which are in stark contrast to current"homogeneous" creative tendencies and kitsch writing. The intertextuality of images can be roughly divided into two categories according to function:narrative function, irony and metaphorical function. The former is mainly a natural image group and the latter is a disease image group. In the natural image group, the images "wind" and "rain" have the effect of aggravating atmosphere, and the images of "lei" and "electricity"promote the plot development. The disease imagery group has the dual meaning of irony and metaphor. The“stupid”,“crazy" disease image and the traditional disease image form an ironic intertextuality. It satirizes the objects in the traditional physical diseases that need to cause attention, and the image of"neural debilitation" is Repeated reproduction in different texts forms a metaphorical intertextuality, referring to the harm caused to people by the rapid development of modern cities. The narrative function of natural imagery and the metaphorical color of disease image form a more open and rich compound imagery system in intertextuality, which expands the expressive meaning and aesthetic space of text.On the narrative level,Xu Zechen makes heavy use of repeated narratives, mystical narratives, and blank narratives. The“different in similarity" in the narrative repetition narrative realizes the increase of the meaning of the text and deepens the uncertainty of the meaning under the spiral of continuous self-relevance,rewriting and creation. The recurring mysteries in the mysterious narrative and Mysterious characters let Xu Zechen's novels have a strong mystery, with the trend of local folk culture, changes in funeral rituals in different texts, and the use of money to deceive people in the countryside.Typical modeling hides Chinese traditional culture under the influence of economic factors.Gradually towards the decline of reflection, the end of the climax after the blank narrative and the intentional set of vacant plots summons readers to fill in the text freely. These are the concentrated expressions of Xu Zechen's acquisition of Chinese traditional culture and the cultivation of his own narrative skills in the modern fictional art culture, which gives the readers pleasure in reading. In short, intertextuality is the distinctive feature of Xu Zechen' s literary creation, which embodies the younger generation of writers'conscious pursuit of innovation and the spirit of art exploration that is dedicated to excellence.
