Research On The Lagu Custom Of Yaogao Miao In Rongshui,Guangxi

The Miao people take the concept of animism as the core of their belief and pursue the eternal life of the group,which makes the Miao people keep close contact with the ancestors of the other side of the world in their daily life,thus forming a series of collective ancestor worship ceremonies with families as the unit and blood relationship as the link.In Rongshui Miao Autonomous County and Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County,Guangxi,there is a mysterious collective ancestor worship ceremony called Lagu,which is highly respected by the local people.The types of activities are mainly divided into small Lagu and big Lagu.The small Lagu is held once every three years,and the big Lagu is held once every thirteen years.The custom of pulling drums has a long time span,rich and diverse contents and forms,and contains profound cultural connotation.In addition,the Miao Lagu custom,as an ancient and mysterious folk belief custom,must have its unique function and value if it can be inherited and developed so far.Through the analysis and discussion of the Miao people’s Lagu custom,we can not only understand the Miao people’s historical development,production and living culture and their interpretation of the supernatural world,but also understand the Miao people’s unique cultural attributes,survival mentality and personality characteristics through a series of cultural performances.This paper takes the Lagu custom of Yao and Miao people in Rongshui,Guangxi as the research object,adopts the method of field investigation and literature combing to record and describe the Lagu custom of Yao and Miao people in Rongshui in detail,and uses the relevant ritual theory to analyze the structure and symbol of the Lagu custom and ritual process,excavate the cultural logic and cultural connotation behind it,intend to explore its cultural function,and finally explore its contemporary value,Put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions in a practical and realistic manner.The article mainly consists of six parts.The first part mainly introduces the origin of this topic,the purpose and significance of the research,the research ideas and methods,and the related research review.The second part mainly shows the living environment of the Yao and Miao drum pulling custom in Rongshui,Guangxi.The third part mainly describes the ritual process of the Yao and Miao Lagu custom in Rongshui,Guangxi.The fourth part mainly analyzes the structure of the Lagu custom of Yao and Miao in Rongshui,Guangxi by using the relevant ritual theory,and then explores the symbolic significance of the main sacrificial objects in the ritual process.The fifth part mainly studies and discusses the cultural logic,cultural connotation and cultural function of the Yao and Miao Lagu custom in Rongshui,Guangxi.The sixth part mainly excavates the contemporary value of the Yao and Miao Lagu custom in Rongshui,Guangxi,and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions according to the actual situation.Yaogao village is located in the north of Guangxi.Its territory is known as one province,two townships and three villages.In the process of communication,exchange and integration with the traditional culture of other surrounding ethnic groups,yaogao Miao drum culture has formed a set of cultural logic with its own characteristics,which contains profound cultural connotation and has its unique function and value.Although the Miao Lagu custom has a certain origin relationship with the Miao Guzang custom,or has the same root and different origins,or inherits and innovates the Miao Guzang custom,in the long-term development process,the Lagu custom has evolved into an ethnic custom with its own regional characteristics.The Miao people’s Lagu custom,represented by the custom of Yao suing the Miao people’s Lagu,was successfully applied for the world heritage,and was listed in the protection list of intangible cultural heritage at the district level of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,which is enough to illustrate the value of its existence and inheritance.At present,the academic community has not conducted a comprehensive and systematic study on the Lagu custom of Yao and Miao in Rongshui,Guangxi.Based on this,this paper takes this custom as the research object and makes a comprehensive and systematic indepth study on it,so as to provide a useful reference for the research,protection and inheritance of this custom culture.
