Qinglong "Trumpet Miao" Celebration Ceremony

The paper is a preliminary study about “Laba Miao”Qing Tan in Qinglong,the data mainly come from the author’s field observation and interview,while refering to the survey data on some folklorists in the1980 s.The Qing Tan of “Laba Miao”is commonly known as “call life”,it’s a kind of religious sacrificial ceremony about ancestor worship,votive,at the same time it’s also a dramatic theatrical arts,Qing Tan has the “function” of exorcism,eliminating disease and bless the family safe.The specific subject of the article is the “Laba Miao”Qing Tan in Yangzhai village,Changliu township,Qinglong county of Guizhou province.Through a comparative study found that,the “Laba Miao”Qing Tan custom is the inheritance and variation in different place of Chengbu,Shaoyang’s “Qing Empress”,and then formed the unique“local knowledge”,it has vital significance to demonstrate and explain the local folk life.The paper mainly adopts the method of literature collecting and field investigation,combining theory of folklore,sociology,history,anthropology and other related discipline,making effort through vertical and horizontal comparison,the artical presentation from three aspects: The first is the history and present of “Laba Miao” Qing Tan in Qinglong;the second is the ritual realistic performance picture of “Laba Miao”Qing Tan in Qinglong;the third is the social function and cultural connotations embedded in Qing Tan.Based on the above thinking,the full text is divided into five parts: The first part is the introduction,which is explained the reasons of selecting this topic,the research review of academic history,the research methods and the sources of information.The second part is the first chapter,it is introduced the social context of Qing Tan,including the geographic location,historical evolution of Qinglong and the Qing Tan custom practitioners-Laba Miao,etc.The third part is the second and third chapter,the second chaptermainly described the history and present of “Laba Miao” Qing Tan in Qinglong;the third chapter used the method of case method to describe the realistic performances to the Qing Tan in Qinglong.The forth part is the fourth chapter,which is based on the previous description and analysis to grasp the social functions of Qing Tan in people’s life,and learn the cultural connotation of the Qing Tan.The last part is the conclusion,which is a summary of the entire article.
