| Growth narrative has been widely applied in fields such as novels,dramas,film and television,and its theoretical value and practical significance have received widespread attention from scholars at home and abroad.Growth is an important dimension of education,and the growth of characters in educational documentaries is typical and representative.From the initial presentation of the image to the transformation in conflicts,and then to the reshaping of the character image,a clear clue is presented.This article starts from the theory of growth narrative,analyzes the character images in educational documentaries,and combines with the graduation work "Accompanying Mom" to reproduce the growth process of children and mothers in the accompanying state,striving to attract public attention to the phenomenon of accompanying reading.This article is divided into six parts.The introduction mainly introduces the origin and current situation of research,summarizes the creation,development,and related concepts of educational documentaries,and highlights the importance of the clue of "growth narrative".The first chapter introduces the theoretical origins and practical implications of growth narrative,dividing growth in educational documentaries into three steps: "shaping," "transforming," and "growing.The second chapter focuses on the preliminary shaping of character images from the dual perspective of creators and character subjects.From the selection of character images to creative expression,the presentation of character images is analyzed through audio-visual means.The third chapter focuses on analyzing the process of characters’ self transformation in conflicts,mainly presenting the content from the perspective of storytelling.The focus of Chapter 4 is placed on the completion of screening and dissemination.At this point,the audience’s character images undergo a process of acceptance and reshaping.The article presents the reconstruction of character images and the self transformation of characters in the reception interaction,and further explains the impact of the audience’s aesthetic experience on creation.Following this clue,Chapter 5 conducts an analysis of the character image construction of the graduation work "Accompanying Mom",analyzing and interpreting it from three perspectives of shaping,transformation,and reconstruction,and summarizing and reflecting on the work.From the perspective of growth narrative theory,the social and practical significance of educational documentaries has been further presented and elucidated.Studying the shaping of character images in educational documentaries from this perspective provides a diverse research approach.By combining the process of shaping,transforming,and reshaping character images in practical works,it showcases the survival status of ordinary people in the context of education,and triggers people’s thinking about real society and self shaping. |
