Abstract/Summary:
Bodybuilding is a type of a sport that focuses on the muscle lines and body beauty. It concentrates on sculpting muscle shapes, which is completely different from other traditional competitive sports.Bodybuilding does not pursue extreme speed and strength, but is a body shape that is sculpted by strength training to form a great aesthetic feeling.Bodybuilding originated in ancient Greece, and the modern bodybuilding was initiated by Eugene Sandow. While in China, through the amount of the European and American film and television works, people are greatly influenced by those strong, powerful, masculine images of actors on the screen. This film takes Wu Hanbin,a Chongqing bodybuilder,as the prototype character, and takes the personal bodybuilding career and entrepreneurial process as the theme of this film.Through this impetuous and radical era,the author will narrate how Wu Hanbin and bodybuilding forged a bond, and then gradually embarked on his path to bodybuilding.Analyze this sport as a connection between classical and modern aesthetics, then explore the practical issues, the challenges and the opportunities faced by bodybuilders, and finally how to broadcast and promote this sport better. This film aims to convey three aspects of information to the audience. On the one hand,it conveys Wu Hanbin’s great love for bodybuilding through filming his daily life during training, which make those who do not understand the sport to know it,and those who do understand to love it better,so as to promote the development of fitness and bodybuilding in Chongqing; The second aspect is to let the audience know his attitude and responsibilities for work and employees by photographing his working status. The third aspect is to eliminate the people’s misconceptions about the sport of bodybuilding through this documentary, and to tell athletes who are pursuing their dreams and sports fan who love this sport to understand this sport correctly. With the rapid promotion of new media, this sport has gradually entered the public’s views, and the ways of the public to obtain information have become more extensive. In particular, some young people are blinded by the gorgeous surface of the bodybuilders.Driven by the desire to win and vanity of admiration, they are hasty in achieving success at the expense of body health. Therefore,a scientific and correct understanding of bodybuilding needs the support of the relevant people. It is hoped that this short film will spread the positive energy of bodybuilding culture, and make more people acknowledge and understand this sport.
