| 1911-1949 is a special era,a period of unprecedented social turmoil and great transformation in the history of China. With the spread of western wind to the east, the development of modern mechanical printing, the rise of emerging art education and the prosperity of modern advertising industry, pigment production and sales have developed rapidly as an important part of printing and painting demand. In the turbulent times, pigment is not only an important material for life, but also an important plan for national defense in wartime. The reason is that compound pigment is a pigment refined from a compound and mixture. The production of compound pigment depends entirely on coal glue obtained by distilling coal, which contains ingredients for making explosives. Therefore,Germany,as one of the countries with the most powerful military forces during World War I,has become a gunpowder factory since the war was announced, which has also become an important reason for the rapid development of pigment industry. From 1911-1949,the pigments were mainly imported. In order to seize the pigment market in China, foreign capital dumped a lot of goods into China, and at the same time, pigment factories were constantly opened in China, and the number of factories increased sharply. However, this also led to the rise of local national brands of domestic products. At the same time, local enterprises in China realized the importance of trademark design in publicity and sales, and under the impetus of realistic publicity demand, the design of local pigment trademarks had undergone many changes. In addition to the traditional pattern theme design,a large number of localized trademark designs are also combined with western painting elements, which opens up the design ideas of modern pigment trademarks and produces a trademark design style with diversified themes, diversified creative methods and distinctive meanings. In view of the above reasons, this thesis takes painting pigment trademarks, printing pigment trademarks, coating pigment trademarks and some other pigment trademarks as the starting point, and takes the social and historical background of the times from 1911-1949,focusing on the similarities and differences between local pigment trademarks and foreign pigment trademarks in terms of artistic style, aesthetic characteristics and cultural connotation, striving to present the formal characteristics of the evolution of different artistic and cultural styles of pigment trademarks in this period.Among them, through the horizontal comparative study of the artistic style of local pigment trademarks in the Republic of China and foreign pigment trademarks in China, the influence of different cultural factors on the artistic style of pigment trademarks in this period is clarified. |
