A Report On The Simultaneous Interpretation Of The Documentary "Smart Winter Olympics" In Chinese And English From The Perspective Of Ecological Translation Theor

In February 2022,the Beijing Winter Olympic Games was successfully held,which had an extraordinary impact at home and abroad.At the same time,a documentary film "The Making of Beijing Winter Olympic Games" emerged,recording in detail how the Beijing Winter Olympic Games achieve sustainable development in science,technology,culture and other aspects.The author of this report completed the practice of consecutive interpretation of the documentary in September 2022.As this documentary plays a great role in displaying the national image,the author of the report consulted a large number of materials before interpreting,and completed the interpretation task with a serious attitude.Guided by the theory of Eco-translatology,this report uses the three-dimensional translation method,namely,language dimension,cultural dimension and communication dimension,to guide the practice of interpretation.The first chapter of this report describes the task and background,and the second chapter summarizes the process of interpretation,including pre-translation preparation,especially the preparation of ecological translation theory and the process of interpretation practice.The third chapter uses the "three-dimensional transformation" theory of ecological translation to elaborate on the transformation methods for the problems of sentences with no subject,rhetorical sentences,and unclear logical relationships in interpretation from the language dimension,namely to use the methods of translation substitution,meaning visualization,and adjustment of conjunctions;In the cultural dimension,the report elaborates on the methods of cultural loaded words,namely the method of meaning supplementation and domestication.At the same time,in the communication dimension,the report elaborates on the resolution strategies for nonverbal information,namely using the methods of additional translation and paraphrase.Chapter four summarizes the author’s achievements and reflections in this interpretation practice.
