With economic globalization, the wine industry has been developing and expanding, and has begun to enter the international market.Enterprise profiles are the most direct and convenient channels for consumers to know them.A high-quality English translation of the enterprise profile will help the company to build a good image and promote its products overseas. The translation materials for the report are selected from the 17th to 32nd enterprise profiles in Chapterl Wine Industry of Part I of The Food Industry Map for 2022 Winter Olympic Games, with a total translation volume of about 15,000 Chinese characters. The original text mainly contains the establishment and development of the wine enterprises,as well as their main business, product introductions and the awards and honors obtained over the years. It is an informative text. The report is guided by Hu Gengshen’s ecotranslatology theory.Eco-translatology starts from a new translation perspective that combines ecology and translatology to construct a translation research system with an ecological orientation or an ecological perspective, which has injected a new direction into translation. The translator adapts to the translational eco-environment in the translation process and uses translation principle of multi-dimensional adaptation and adaptive selection and translation method of three-dimensional transformations in eco-translatology as the core concepts to guide the selective activity of translation. In the process of translation practice, the translator finds that the single formal equivalence at the text level or translation strategies of cultural factors cannot effectively convey information and achieve the purpose of publicity. The eco-translatology theory unifies language, culture and communication, and can study and solve translation problems from a more macro ecological perspective. The difficulties encountered in the translation of the informative text mainly lie in realizing the organic unification of language, culture and communication.Specifically, they are manifested in multiple expressions of the same concept, translation of four-character words, sentences without the subject or with subject inconsistency, differences in sentence structure between English and Chinese, inconspicuous logical relationship of sentences, rigorous or unclear Chinese expressions, redundant information in Chinese, lack of discourse cohesion, the differences in the content of Chinese and Western cultures and the differences in cultural expression. The translator uses the method of three-dimensional transformations to fully consider the difficulties from three aspects of linguistic, communicative and cultural dimensions. In order to adapt to the translational eco-environment of different dimensions, the paper adopts the following translation strategies. In the linguistic dimension, the concepts are accurately expressed through diction and conversion of four-character words to facilitate readers’ understanding and acceptance. The determination of subject, conversion from parataxis to hypotaxis and adjustment of logical order can make the sentences conform to the rules and English way of thinking. In the communicative dimension, through accurate expression of the original meaning, omission of redundant content and discourse conversion, the author’s original intention can be clearly expressed and the obstacles are cleared away for readers’ reading. In the cultural dimension, the translation of product names and culture-loaded words should be paid attention to in order to correctly convey the cultural connotation of the source text. The study provides not only new evidence for the interpretation of eco-translatology in the translation of informative text, but also useful references and feasible translation solutions for subsequent translation research and practice.
