Because of the intention of recording all the sides of the pageantry, lots of newsreels, the topic of which is the Olympic games of Beijing, have emerged since 2001, the year which our country applied for holding the twenty-ninth Olympic games successfully. In those, there are many excellent ones. Beijing Olympic games injects new vigor and energy for the creativity and development of newsreels. The Chinese workers of newsreels catched hold of this very rare chance of expression, they spread Chinese national culture and exhibit Chinese national spirit to the world with many different fashions. Then the techniques of Chinese expression which are used in the newsreels of Beijing Olympic games are worthy of being paid attention to.Through researching and analyzing the history and actuality of Olympic newsreels, beginning from investigating the angle of the Chinese explanation and exhibiting measures of Olympic newsreels, through this article I wang to try exploring a way that is fit for the development of Chinese Olympic newsreels. This article includes six partitions. The first one is introduction, I mostly explained the source of the study, the researching intention, the researching significance and the internal and foreign researching situation of this topic in this portion.In second part, I explained and summarized the development of the internal and foreign Olympic newsreels entirely. In the third one, I concluded and carved up the bound of the newsreels which are referred to this article in the theme and time sides, introduced and analyzed the representative ones of Beijing Olympic newsreels, and researched Chinese Olympic newsreels deeply by the way of creative theory. The fourth part, the fifth part and the sixth part are the researching keystone of this article, during these portions I explained the existence and the expression of Chinese element in three sides, the first one is that how the Chinese explain the Olympic spirit, the second one is the Chinese expression of vision and hearing in the newsreels, and the third one is the Chinese narrative techniques. By contacting the sprit that the Chinese very uphold, the cultural tradition of China and so on I researched and analyzed the newsreels in different views, and summed up the inherent spirit and explicit representable measures with those Chinese element exists in the newsreels.Through researching the existence and the expressed techniques of Chinese element in Beijing Olympic newsreels, I want to exhume representable techniques those are used in the newsreels to represent the native cultural connotation and the national spirit, and assist in screening the Olympic newsreels forwards. This article is hoped to be able to reinforce the existent researching production of Beijing Olympic newsreels.
