In recent years, scientists have discovered that human micrbiome is closely related to health and that some major and chronic diseases are caused by microbiome imbalance.Since the beginning of the pandemic, people have become more concerned about immunity and health, and the demand for various products that regulate microbiota in and on the body has been rising, prompting the health care product industry to flourish. In view of this,Tmall Global held the 2022 Tmall Global The Fourth Meal Microbiome Innovation Conference. The author chose the speeches of three guests at this conference as the material for this simulated simultaneous interpreting practice, and wrote this practice report under the guidance of the interpretive theory. The interpretive theory holds that the most important thing in interpreting is to distinguish linguistic meaning and non-verbal sense. What should be conveyed in interpreting is the sense that the communicator wants to express through linguistic symbols, not the symbols themselves. Therefore, the interpreter should try to achieve the equivalence of the sense or effect of the original language rather than the correspondence of linguistic units. In order to effectively achieve the equivalence of sense, the author adopts a series of interpreting strategies, including segmentation, anticipation, amplification, simplification, conversion and reformulation, and analyzes them through specific cases in this report. These strategies not only promote the understanding of sense but also reduce the burden of the interpreter to some extent. In addition, the author also summarizes the difficulties and problems existing in the interpreting process, and provides the corresponding solutions,so as to offer some suggestions and references for her future interpreting work and other interpreting learners. |
