Research On Narrative Illustration Design Under The Background Of "Shanxi Merchants’ Tea Ceremony"

After the Silk Road,the Jin Merchants’ Tea Road is an international trade road that mainly focuses on tea trade.It is not only an economic road,but also a road for the exchange of Eastern and Western civilizations.Nowadays,graphic,digital and narrative illustration design has gradually become the main way to promote culture.The expression form of narrative illustration is used to extract the cultural elements of "Jin merchants’ tea ceremony" and break the lack of cultural connotation and single form in traditional illustration design.From the perspective of narratology theory,this paper discusses the narrative characteristics and application value of illustration works.First of all,it defines its research object,scope and related theoretical research,gives a detailed description of the application status and application value of narrative expression in illustration design,and analyzes the characteristics and expression forms of narratology theory in illustration design.Secondly,it combs the cultural resources of "Jin Merchants’ Tea Ceremony" and studies its narrative principle with illustration design.The creation of narrative illustration of "Jin Shang Tea Ceremony" is to form a new visual expression form through the setting of narrative expression content and combining visual rhetoric,plot setting and other aspects,which is applied to design practice and expansion.The methods of narrative design are summarized to guide the visual expression forms of narrative illustration design and guide the viewing methods of viewers,so as to further carry forward the core connotation of history and culture,give the cultural value of illustration works,while maintaining the form innovation,highlighting the style of Shanxi merchants,promoting the culture of Shanxi merchants,and have certain promotion significance for the local culture with Shanxi characteristics.
