Tang poetry,as a representative of excellent Chinese culture,is rich in language knowledge such as rhythm and vocabulary,as well as carrying traditional Chinese aesthetic orientation and values.Introducing Tang poetry teaching into international Chinese education can help learners better understand the Chinese language and culture,further understand the breadth and depth of Chinese language,and experience the charm of Chinese culture.The author has reviewed the literature and found that the importance of Tang poetry in international Chinese teaching is gradually receiving attention,but researchers’ focus is mainly on the offline mode of international Chinese Tang poetry teaching.With the acceleration of educational modernization and the rapid development of information technology,the deep integration of information technology and international Chinese language education has gradually become an endogenous force for the linear transformation of international Chinese language education.The objective reality of limited international student mobility in the era of the pandemic has also given rise to the accelerated development of online teaching.Therefore,conducting research on online Tang poetry teaching for intermediate stage cultural courses for international students plays a positive role in improving Tang poetry teaching research in the post pandemic era and exploring the deep integration of information technology and teaching practice from a practical perspective.This thesis adopts the methods of literature analysis,comparative analysis,teaching practice,and questionnaire survey to conduct research.It analyzes the current situation and related theoretical foundations of phonetics,vocabulary,and cultural teaching in international Chinese Tang poetry teaching.Based on the practice of Tang poetry in online intermediate stage cultural classes,it explores the challenges faced by teaching models,teachers,and students in online international Chinese Tang poetry teaching,Explore some potential opportunities for online international Chinese Tang poetry teaching in the era of "Internet Plus".Finally,the author takes "Jingyesi" as an example for teaching design,teaching practice,and post class feedback.Research has found that online international Chinese Tang poetry teaching can improve the language skills and cross-cultural communication abilities of intermediate stage international students.In addition,the author conducted a questionnaire survey on teachers with experience in online international Chinese Tang poetry teaching,and found that online international Chinese Tang poetry teaching faces challenges such as a mixture of network resources,mismatched teaching content with students’ interests,and difficulty for students to understand the imagery in Tang poetry and the poet’s thoughts and emotions.To fully leverage the advantages of online teaching,problems in the practice of international Chinese Tang poetry teaching in intermediate level cultural courses can be solved by utilizing emerging educational technology tools,integrating Tang poetry related network resources,introducing images in Tang poetry,using situational teaching methods and performance-based cultural teaching methods.
