Driven by favorable factors such as adapting to industrial development, meeting people ’s needs, and responding to national policies,China ’s cultural and tourism integration has made breakthrough progress. However,at present, the integration of culture and tourism in China is in a critical period of moving from high-speed to highquality development, and the problems behind it are increasingly prominent, mainly reflected in the slow development speed, obvious regional differences, and serious stagnation of the epidemic. As a result, the structural transformation and upgrading of the integration of culture and tourism and the acceleration of the development trend of highquality integration are limited.Based on this background,it is of great significance to measure the level of cultural tourism integration in China, explore the characteristics of spatial and temporal evolution, reveal its influencing factors, and put forward reasonable policy suggestions for the sustainable development of cultural tourism integration in China. This paper aims to promote the high-quality integration and development of China’s culture and tourism industry.Based on the relevant research at home and abroad, this paper constructs a cultural tourism index system, and determines the index weight through the entropy method.By using the tourism priority model, coupling coordination degree model and grey correlation model, this paper analyzes the spatial and temporal evolution and influencing factors of the integration and development of culture and tourism in China in 2005 and 2020 with the help of Stata,Arc Gis and other software.Through empirical analysis,it is found that :(1)The overall level of tourism development shows a trend of rising first and then falling sharply, and the inter-provincial differences in tourism are gradually narrowing. The level of tourism development in the seven regions can be summarized as : East China and South China > North China and Central China > Southwest and Northeast >Northwest.(2)The overall development level of cultural industry shows a trend of rising first and then declining, but the inter-provincial differences in cultural industry are gradually expanding. The cultural development level of the seven regions can be summarized as :East and Central China > Southwest,North and South China > Northwest and Northeast.(3)China ’s cultural industry and tourism industry are in a state of synchronous development as a whole, but the development of tourism is not strong enough.Compared with the cultural industry, the epidemic has a greater negative impact on the tourism industry.(4)During the study period, the coupling and coordination status of China ’s cultural and tourism industry was in the stage of reluctant coordination. The coupling coordination value and average annual growth rate of cultural and tourism industry in the seven major regions showed a fluctuating downward trend. The regions of coupling and coordinated development from good to bad were : East China > Central China > South China > North China > Northeast > Southwest > Northwest, and the regions of average annual growth rate from high to low were : Southwest > Northwest > East China > Central China >South China > North China > Northeast. The coupling coordination degree of cultural tourism industry generally shows a spatial distribution pattern of gradual decline from the eastern coast to the inland, and compared with the areas where the integration of cultural tourism is not optimistic, the areas with better integration of cultural tourism are more negatively affected by the epidemic.(5)Per capita GDP,highway mileage and tourism resource quality have a significant driving effect on the integrated development of culture and tourism in China.R&D expenditure of industrial enterprises above designated size has a significant negative effect on the coordinated development of culture and tourism industry.
