In the thesis,we have chosen the synonyms “fasheng” and “chansheng” as the object of study.Due to the influence of the same morphemes, the words are similar in morphology and partly the same in interpretation,so it is very easy to cause confusion in the process of usage. In order to help learners of Chinese as a foreign language grasp the rules of using “fasheng” and “chansheng” more accurately, this paper will analyze these two words from two aspects:ontological study and bias analysis. In the first chapter,we study the development of the meanings of “fasheng”and “chansheng” in ancient Chinese, and summarize the meanings of the two words in dictionaries and works. The article examines the dynasties and meanings of the words “fasheng”and “chansheng”,and how the meanings have changed in the three stages. The dictionaries and works are common tools for foreign Chinese students and teachers to learn and teach. In this paper,we select representative dictionaries and works such as Modern Chinese Dictionary,Modern Chinese Dictionary,800 Modern Chinese Words, and 1700 Comparison of the Usage of Near-sense Words to study the meaning of “fasheng” and “chansheng”.The second chapter, using the BCC corpus,is a study of the meaning of “fasheng”and “chansheng”.In the second chapter, the BCC corpus is used as the source, and the NLC corpus is used as an auxiliary,to investigate the ontology of “fasheng” and“chansheng” from three perspectives: grammar, semantics, and usage, and to summarize the differences between these two words in these three main aspects. In terms of syntax, the main purpose of the study is to identify the syntactic components of the two words in a sentence. We found that both “fasheng” and“chansheng” can be used as subject, predicate, object, definite article and gerund in a sentence. When both words are used as subject, object, definite article and gerund in a sentence, there are certain restrictions on both words. When acting as a predicate, the author identifies the two words in terms of the difference between pre-predicate and post-predicate components. The semantic analysis was done by comparing the action object, the action subject and the constituent elements of the two words. It was found that most of the categories on the action subjects of the two words were the same, and the categories of action objects were more different, with few identical parts. In terms of usage,we searched the BCC corpus for “fasheng” and“chansheng” under certain conditions, and the results showed that both words are more frequently used in formal genres such as newspapers and scientific literature, and less frequently used in informal genres such as microblogs and conversations. The word “fasheng” is mostly used in the press to report certain changes and accidents, while “produce” is mostly used to report certain events or things that have certain effects. In the third chapter,we analyze the biases of “fasheng” and “chansheng” by using a corpus of intermediate languages as the source, and compile all the bias types of the two words to find the causes of the biases. In order to help Chinese teachers provide rich cases of teaching near-sense words, this paper introduces the methods of comparative analysis, diagramming, scenario creation, example sentences and PBL into the classroom, and takes “intermediate and advanced international students” as the teaching target, and gives a detailed analysis of“fasheng” and “chansheng”.A detailed and complete teaching case is given for“fasheng” and “chansheng”.
