A Study On Aspectual Category In Gushi Dialect Of Henan

As one of the hot spots in the study of Chinese grammar,aspectual issues have attracted much academic attention for many years.The research object of this paper is the aspectual system of Gushi dialect,analyzes the different forms of Gushi dialect aspectual system with the relevant theories of structuralist linguistics and cognitive linguistics,and discusses the syntactic structure,semantic attributes and pragmatic functions.On the basis of summarizing the hierarchical distribution of aspect system,this paper further discusses the origin of some markers in Gushi dialect,makes a case analysis of the auxiliary "shang",and reveals the characteristics and typological implication of Gushi dialect.It is expected to provide some new materials for dialect grammar research and enrich the content of modern Chinese grammar research.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the rest of the full text is divided into six chapters.The introduction mainly points out the background and research significance of the topic,analyzes the relevant research results of predecessors,explains the research objectives and research contents of this paper,and explains the research methods,possible innovations and corpus sources used in this paper.The first chapter mainly defines and classifies aspect,explains the aspectual types of Gushi dialect,and divides the morphological changes of Gushi dialect into "aspect” and"mood".It includes two categories and ten sub-categories,corresponding to different modal changes respectively.The second and third chapters mainly describe the aspect of Gushi dialect,including perfective aspect and imperfective aspect.The second chapter describes three perfective aspects,including Perfective Aspect,Experiential Aspect and Disposal Aspect.Besides,the“ba” sentence in Mandarin is compared with the Disposal Aspect of Gushi dialect.The third chapter mainly describes the four imperfective parts of Gushi dialect,including Inchoate Aspect,Progressive Aspect,Durativr Aspect and Resultant Aspect,and compare the differences between the marker words "zhuo" and "zi".The fourth chapter mainly introduces the three moods in the aspectual category of Gushi dialect,including Antecedent Mood,Frequentative Mood and Momentum decreasing Mood,analyzes the syntactic structure,semantic characteristics and pragmatic functions corresponding to different moods,compares the similarities and differences in grammatical meaning between Frequentative Mood and Mandarin verb reduplication,and summarizes the characteristics of mood in Gushi dialect.The fifth chapter is a case analysis of the auxiliary "shang",discusses the cognitive mechanism and grammaticalization process of "shang",and excavates the typological implication of the aspectual expression of Gushi dialect on the basis of typological comparison.Based on the previous research,the sixth chapter constructs the hierarchical system of Gushi dialect aspectual system,and points out the changes and interactions of modality in time series.Meanwhile,this chapter discusses the origin of some markers in Gushi dialect from two aspects with the phonetic variation and notional word grammaticalization,in order to broaden people’s cognitive horizon.The conclusion is the main summary of the full paper,pointing out the research value,the shortcomings of the research and the direction of future efforts.
