| As the object of tourism industry services and the subject of tourism activities, understanding the spatio-temporal behaviour pattern of tourists and its influence mechanism can help the managers of scenic spots to understand the process of tourists’ activities and demand more comprehensively, which has important practical guidance significance for improving the quality of tourists’ tourism experience and optimising the product structure of scenic spots. In response to the lack of existing research on spatio-temporal relationships and internal mechanisms, this thesis uses temporal geography as a perspective for the study of the spatiotemporal behaviour of tourists in scenic areas, explores the characteristics of tourists’ spatiotemporal behaviour within scenic areas based on behavioural survey data, and constructs a SEM-Logit model to reveal the factors influencing the spatio-temporal behaviour of tourists in scenic areas and the internal interaction mechanisms of each factor. The SEM-Logit model was developed to reveal the factors influencing the spatio-temporal behaviour of tourists in the scenic area and the intrinsic interaction mechanisms among them.Located in the city of Zaozhuang,Shandong Province, the enclosed scenic space and complex internal street structure provide a good case study for obtaining complete and continuous information on the spatiotemporal behaviour of visitors. Therefore, this thesis takes the visitors of the ancient city of Taierzhuang as the research object, and firstly obtains spatio-temporal behavioural trajectory data with the help of "Micro Footprint" APP,combines with the questionnaire to obtain personal attribute factors, summarises the spatio-temporal behavioural patterns of visitors through SPSS software cluster analysis, adopts the temporal geography spatio-temporal path expression, and visualises the spatio-temporal behavioural patterns of visitors. The SEM-Logit model was then constructed to integrate the concept of temporal geography constraints into tourists’ demographic characteristics,travel-related characteristics and perception of tourists’ spatial behavioural choice criteria, and to analyse the influence of ability constraints, authority constraints and combined constraints on the inner mechanism of tourists’ spatio-temporal behaviour. The results of the study show that:(1)different combinations of spatial movement and time allocation of tourists during their visit to the scenic spot present different spatiotemporal behavioural characteristics. The spatio-temporal behaviour of visitors to the ancient city of Taierzhuang can be clustered into five patterns, namely night scene linear, night scene covered,half-day half-loop,full-day crossover and two-day loop, with visitors tending to favour the night scene linear behaviour pattern with more concentrated shops and higher spatial accessibility of streets.(2)The spatio-temporal behaviour of tourists in scenic spots is the result of individual choices under multiple constraints. The ability constraints are mainly age, education level, gender, occupation, monthly income and transport;the authority constraints are mainly the place of origin, whether to buy tickets, expected arrangements, objective environment and tourist attraction;the combination constraints are mainly familiarity with the scenic spot, travel experience, satisfaction with the visit and personal attributes.(3)Based on the results of the SEM-Logit model, the correspondence between the built environment and tourists’ behaviour is further explored based on the authoritative constraints. The results show that tourists’ behaviour matches the spatial structure to a high degree, and tourists tend to visit spatial areas with a high degree of integration and accessibility, while tourists’ visits are high in spatial areas with a concentration of attractions and businesses.Drawing on multidisciplinary theories such as behavioural geography and tourist behaviour, this thesis takes temporal geography as a research perspective, introduces the concept of constraints into the spatio-temporal behaviour influence factor model, and visualises the spatio-temporal behaviour path of tourists. At the theoretical level, the thesis explains the inner mechanism of tourists’ spatio-temporal behaviour on a microscopic scale, which enriches the theoretical results in the field of spatio-temporal behaviour and expands new ideas for the study of spatio-temporal behaviour;at the practical level,it combines the scientific calculation of data and the objective presentation of graphics, and reveals the association between the environment and tourists’ behaviour from a visual perspective based on the superimposed analysis of the model results, which provides an opportunity for ancient towns to optimise the spatial structure of scenic areas, provide It provides scientific suggestions for optimising the spatial structure of ancient towns, providing diversified services and developing individual route recommendations, and is an important reference value for upgrading the products and services of tourist attractions. |
