| As one of the most famous animated feature films in the world,Disney animated films have a wide influence.As one of the trademarks of Walt Disney,Disney Princess is an important part of the Disney empire.Related films are collectively referred to as "Disney Princess theme animated films".From snow white and the seven dwarfs,which was born in 1937,to snow and ice 2,which was released in 2019,the Disney Princess theme series has 14 works,with a total of 14 princesses.In the course of more than 80 years of change,it has formed a unique development track.Studying the transformation of Disney Princess animated films since the new century is of academic significance to the research of Disney animated films and the role evolution of American animated films in recent years.The analysis of the transformation of Princess animated films since the new century is also the epitome of the evolution of Disney’s business culture.Disney Princess animated film is a type of animation with the growth of Disney Company.The setting of Princess and other characters reflects the culture and temperament of Disney Company.Taking the transformation as the starting point,this thesis selects six Disney Princess animated films since the new century,and interprets their subversive transformation through the comparative study of different aspects with Disney Princess animated films before the new century.This thesis is divided into four chapters: the first chapter is the evolution of the character image of Disney Princess animated films in the new century.By comparing the princess image before the new century with the princess image after the new century,this thesis analyzes the transformation of the specific image of the princess;The second chapter mainly analyzes the continuation and expansion of the theme of Disney Princess animated films in the new century,including family affection,friendship,love,personal dream and patriotism.The third chapter deeply interprets the deep reasons for the transformation of Disney Princess animated films in the new century,involving many aspects,such as women’s movement,American mainstream social ideology,contemporary consumption background and the typology of Princess films.The fourth chapter mainly focuses on the limitations of Disney Princess films in the transformation process in the new century,and the inspiration brought by Disney’s transformation experience to the creation of domestic animated films. |
