Research On The Media Image Construction Of Female Protagonits In Disney Princess Animated Films From The Perspective Of Gender

The social gender is put forward to distinguish biological gender.The theory holds that gender is not only innate but established by psychological,culture and social norms.Nowadays,western scholors generally stusy the issuses of communication and gender from the perspective of social gender.From 1937 to 2017,Diseney princess animated films created 14 princess with different images and styles.The female images in the films were influenced by environment and ideology of the times,both in appearance and inner personality.Based on the theory of social gender perspective,14 Princess of 13 movies which has been officially recgnized by Desiney will chosen to be the research subjects.At first,14 images will be classified and then find the main reasons of the differences and changes of female images from the basic elements,narrative strategies,langeage form.the female ortagonists in Disey pincess series movies mainly include the female image of good wife and good mother under the traditional male athetic,the female image with independent personality,the female image with changed gender identity and the female iamge returning to reality.The main reasons for the differences and changes of these images are the social culture changes,the choice media in the consumption era and the catering to the needs of the audience.At the same time,from the Disney princess series of animated films also reflecets that the female images in the infiltrate Amarican heroism,easy to procuce the utopia dilemma of gender images and form a mimicry environment that covers the reality.
