China is a multi-ethnic country with rich language resources.The national common language is the common language of the Chinese nation.It is not only an important carrier of the Chinese national spirit and culture,but also a key link to condense all ethnic groups.Overall,the dissemination of official languages is at the heart of Chinese policy.The party and the state have repeatedly stressed the prominent position of the national common language in social and economic development,and are committed to promoting and popularizing the national common language throughout the country.However,due to the complex social structure,relatively backward economic development,weak awareness of language use and insufficient promotion power,the promotion and popularization of the national common language in frontier ethnic areas has been facing severe challenges,and there is a "dilemma" between "national common language promotion" and "minority language protection".Whether the legal status of the two is clear is a fundamental issue related to the effectiveness of the promotion of the national common language.Faced with the deficiency of the research on "promotion of national common language" and "protection of minority language" and "dilemma",at present,China should further use the theories of politics,linguistics,law and other related disciplines,and systematically sort out the language laws and regulations of major autonomous regions based on the method of text analysis,Deeply study and summarize the expressions related to "national common language" and "minority language",and actively explore the legal approach to promote the national common language in regional ethnic autonomous regions and all ethnic regions.This is of great theoretical and practical significance for how to properly deal with the basic problem of harmonious and balanced development of languages in ethnic areas.Currently,the laws and regulations related to language and writing in the five autonomous regions show three tendencies: giving priority to the national common language and writing,giving priority to the minority language and writing,and treating the national common language and writing and the minority language and writing in parallel.In order to improve the promotion effectiveness of the national common language in national autonomous areas,China should scientifically adjust many ethnic factors such as geographical location,language environment,economic development,etc.,and clearly "build a sense of community of the Chinese nation" in the law.,regulations and policy documents related to the language,and firmly establish the dominant position of the national common language,At the same time,pay attention to the promotion and popularization of the national common language in ethnic areas according to local conditions.
