Analysis And Research On Application Condition And Language Attitude Of National Common Language In Guangxi

Application and attitude of language in the society belong to social category of language, which has a profound effect on people’s language competence and speech act. Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is a typical minority area at the borderland. In the region, languages are complex because of many dialects and minority languages. Therefore, in order to formulate language policies and plans adapting to actual situation of minority area at the borderland and popularize national common language, one must understand application condition and attitude of national common language in the region.At present, there are few comprehensive researches on application condition and attitude of national common language in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The paper makes use of predecessors’survey data collected from dialect areas, minority habitations and other places in Guangxi, masters application condition of national common language and language attitude of people in the region in a comprehensive way, carries out in-depth studies on application and attitude of national common language through the method of inferential statistics, analyzes their relations with social variables such as dialect area, gender, native language, age and time for living in local area, strives to gain more scientific results through analysis from several perspectives and levels, and provides some valuable references and suggestions for plans with respect to languages in Guangxi.
