A Contrastive Study On The Definitions Of Yunnan Dialect Dictionaries

This thesis mainly discuss the definition of Yunnan dialect dictionaries,in the Kunming dialect dictionary "the dimension of the western Han dynasty the dialect dictionary" and "Yuxi dialect dictionary" as the research object,using the measure of a statistical analysis of dictionaries the headwords,long term,unit of meanings,interpretations and definitions,analysis problems of dictionaries definition,discusses the relevant principles of definition in dialect dictionaries.The thesis is divided into five chapters.Chapter one introduction.This paper introduces the sources of the topic,research status,research objectives,research methods and corpus sources.Chapter two is a comparative study of words received.This paper makes a comparative analysis of word length and meaning,discusses the relationship between word length and head,the choice of meaning unit and the influence of part of speech on the classification of meaning,and summarizes the characteristics of yunnan dialect lexicographs.According to the research,the most words with trisylles and above trisylles are "Kunming","Weixi" and "Yuxi",accounting for 46.775%,46.729% and50.614% respectively,followed by double-syllable.In terms of the selection of paraphrase units,Kunming is dominated by lexical forms,accounting for48.225%;Weixi is mainly in sentence form,accounting for 74.089%;Yuxi is mainly in sentence form,accounting for 51.329%.Taking Kunming as an example,it is found that the part of speech plays a certain role in the classification of meaning,but compared with the polysemy of "single part of speech",the part of speech is not the most important factor.The third chapter is a comparative study of interpretation methods.The way of interpretation of Yunnan dialect dictionaries mainly includes equality and similarity,classification and description.In terms of distribution characteristics,the proportion of equivalent and similar forms in Kunming,Weixi and Yuxi is 50.847%,35.480% and10.169%,respectively.The proportion of categorical qualifiers is relatively balanced,between 10% and 18%,and it is characterized by finding corresponding categorical words in Putonghua,and then modifying or qualifying them.Description accounted for23.322%,47.137% and 71.012%,respectively.The proportion of negative and opposite interpretations was less than 1%.Based on the statistical data,the author describes the differences between the definitions of the same and different words in different dictionaries,and discusses the reasons for the differences.Chapter four discusses the principles of interpretation of dialect dictionaries.This paper combs the relevant achievements of dictionary interpretation principles and discusses the special principles of dialect dictionary interpretation based on the problems existing in Yunnan dialect dictionary interpretation.Chapter v Conclusion.This paper summarizes the characteristics of Yunnan dialect lexicon,the units of interpretation,the ways of interpretation and the principles of interpretation,and points out the shortcomings of this study.
