Clinical Observation On The Therapeutic Effect Of Acupuncture On Low Back Pain Caused By Thoracolumbar Compression Fractur

Purpose:By comparing the clinical efficacy of acupuncture therapy and conventional western medicine analgesics in the treatment of low back pain of thoracolumbar compression fractures,it is proved that acupuncture is effective,safe,and has no toxic and side effects,and can replace the analgesic effect of traditional western medicine.Material and method:The research subjects selected 60 patients with low back pain from thoracolumbar compression fractures who visited the Orthopedic Clinic of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2020 to November 2021,and randomly divided the above subjects into two groups,namely the observation group and the control group.On top of routine basic treatment,the observation group was treated with acupuncture,the control group was treated with oral meloxicam tablets,the acupuncture group was treated with meloxicam tablets once a day,one tablet each time,and the above two groups were treated continuously.two weeks.Observe and record the pain visual analogue scale(VAS score),Oswestry disability index questionnaire(ODI index),and Japanese Orthopaedic Association assessment score(JOA score)before treatment,after treatment,and at follow-up two months after treatment.Statistical analysis of the above evaluation results was carried out using SPSS25.0 statistical software.Results:1.After treatment,the VAS score and ODI index of the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment,and the JOA score was significantly higher than that before treatment,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Statistical difference(P>0.05),indicating that acupuncture treatment and oral meloxicam tablets have similar effects in relieving voluntary pain,improving quality of life,and reducing low back pain;2.Two months after the end of treatment,there was no statistical difference between the two groups in the clinical effective rate(P>0.05),indicating that there was no significant difference in the long-term curative effect between the two groups,and the curative effects were similar.Conclusion:1.Acupuncture treatment can significantly reduce the symptoms of low back pain of thoracolumbar compression fractures and improve the quality of life of patients;2.Compared with Western medicine,acupuncture treatment can also relieve the symptoms of low back pain of thoracolumbar compression fractures,and its advantages such as high safety and no toxic side effects are easily recognized by patients and their families,and can replace traditional western medicine treatment.
