The novels of the 1950 s and 1960 s occupy an important position in the field of Chinese literature and art.This period of literature came into being in the founding ceremony of the People’s Republic of China Environment in 1949 and has been enduring up to now.At the beginning of the founding of the People’s Republic of China,great changes had taken place in politics,economy,culture and so on,landscape description is naturally involved in the construction of the national image sequence.Based on this,this article takes the landscape theory as the guidance,chooses the 1950s-1960 s novels as the research object,and probes into from the aspects of the origin and development,the text presentation,the writing significance,etc.,this paper tries to find out the deep meaning hidden in the text,and to explore the unique track and value of the new China’s novels in this period.The thesis is divided into three parts: an introduction,a body and an epilogue.The introduction part briefly analyzes the research background and significance of the selected topic of this thesis,sorts out the current situation and trends of the research on landscape discourse in novels in the 50 s and 60 s of the 20 th century at home and abroad,summarizes and sorts out the existing research,defines the concept of landscape,puts forward the possibility of studying novel texts in this period from the perspective of landscape discourse,and points out the research ideas,methods,difficulties and innovations of this thesis.The main body is divided into the following three chapters:The first chapter mainly explores the reasons and possibilities for the generation of landscape discourse in contemporary Chinese novels in the 50 s and 60 s of the 20 th century.Based on the specific literary context,the reasons for the emergence of landscape discourse in this period are discussed from three aspects: the accumulation of "history",the stimulation of "time",and the choice of "literature".It is not only the inheritance of the tradition of classical Chinese scenery writing,but also the product of a specific social environment,but also the ideal sustenance of writers’ creative practice.The second chapter focuses on the textual presentation of the landscape discourse of contemporary Chinese novels in the 50 s and 60 s of the 20 th century.From the three aspects of "revolutionary landscape","rural landscape" and "industrial landscape",the textual presentation form of landscape discourse at different stages of this period is analyzed.As a way of literary imagination,these three types of landscape discourse not only briefly outline the process of social development,but also show the social spiritual outlook and the spiritual state of the people.Chapter 3 focuses on the meaning of writing the discourse of novel landscapes in the 50 s and 60 s of the 20 th century.On the one hand,landscape discourse has the meaning of text construction at three levels:plot structure,symbolic metaphor and character shaping.On the other hand,landscape discourse also has the literary historical significance of harmonizing literature and ideology,highlighting the relationship between man and nature,and highlighting the attributes of "nation" and "state".The concluding part summarizes and sorts out the landscape discourse of novels in the 50 s and 60 s of the 20 th century,pointing out that the landscape discourse in this period has shortcomings in formulaic,conceptual,and lack of language expression,but novelists in this period played an active role in participating in the imaginary construction of the nation-state with landscape discourse,and considered the enlightenment and lessons of landscape discourse to the current creative experience.
