| With the continuous improvement of China’s international status, more and more foreigners have begun to learn Chinese characters, the phenomenon of "seeing characters but not recognizing sounds" also begins to appear. In view of this situation, this paper takes the ninth level and third level pictophonetic characters in the "International Chinese Language Education Level Standards" as the research object, the statistics of the pronunciation of the vowel symbols in the "Grading Standard" are analyzed, and the inspiration of the pronunciation of the vowel symbols in the "Grading Standard" for teaching and compiling Chinese character textbooks for foreigners. The paper is divided into three main parts: the introduction, the main text and the appendices. The introduction outlines the object of the paper, the purpose and significance of the study, the current status of the research and the research methodology. The text consists of four chapters. The first chapter analyzes the categories of pictophonetic characters and the criteria for determining the pronunciation of phonetic symbols in the "Grading Standard".Starting from the form of modern Chinese characters, and comparing the diachronic physical characteristics of Chinese characters, the pictophonetic characters in the "Grading Standard" are divided into four categories, namely, pictophonetic characters that have not changed in form in ancient and modern times, pictophonetic characters that still have phonetic symbols after simplified traditional forms, pictophonetic characters that have phonetic symbols that also indicate meanings in addition to phonetic symbols, and pictophonetic characters that have omitted their forms; It is proposed that the determination of the pronunciation of pictophonetic characters should be based on two principles, namely, selecting the commonly used pronunciation of the phonetic characters and selecting the pronunciation that is similar to the pronunciation of pictophonetic characters; The second chapter shows the phonetic situation of the phonetic symbols in each grade in the order of the "three grades and nine levels" in the "Grading Standard",and the results show that 27% of all phonetic characters have the same phonetic symbols and 73% of all phonetic characters have different phonetic symbols; The third chapter analyses the phonetic patterns of the phonetic symbols in the "Grading Standard",this chapter will analyze the rules from two aspects: the initial and final consonants of pictophonetic characters.Based on the strength of the phonetic rules of pictophonetic characters,1948 pictophonetic characters are divided into four categories, forming a gradient table of the phonetic rules of pictophonetic characters; The fourth chapter, based on the research results of the first three chapters, discusses how to effectively teach the morphemes with large differences in vocalic phonetic symbols in the "Grading Standard" in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and how to teach them according to the gradation of the grading scale of morpheme phonetic symbols according to the gradation of the grading scale of morpheme phonetic symbols, using the law of vocalic change and the law of rhyme change, etc. At the same time,in the compilation of Chinese character textbooks for teaching Chinese as a foreign language, specific writing suggestions should also be arranged according to the level order of the gradient table of the phonetic rules of pictophonetic characters, provide reference and inspiration for future writing of Chinese character textbooks for foreign students. The appendix provides an overview of the phonetic representation of the phonetic symbols of the 1948 phonetic characters in the "Grading Standard",the main major is to statistically analyze the phonetic representation of the 1948 pictophonetic characters in the "Grading Standards",and systematically and stereoscopically display the phonetic representation of the 1948 pictophonetic characters’ phonetic symbols.Through the study of the phonetic representation of pictophonetic characters and phonetic symbols in the "Grading Standard",the phonetic representation of pictophonetic characters and phonetic symbols in the "Grading Standard" is clearly displayed, which is conducive to in-depth study of the main thrust of the "Grading Standard" and provides more references for the teaching of Chinese characters as a foreign language. |
