The Use Of The Pictorial Language Of Shen Zhou’s Landscape Paintings In The "Revisited" Series

Shen Zhou,a literati painter of the Ming Dynasty,was highly accomplished in the fields of poetry,calligraphy and painting,and was the most outstanding figure in the history of Chinese landscape painting.Shen Zhou’s good tutors and artistic talent made Shen Zhou famous since he was young,and he devoted most of his time to the creation of calligraphy and painting without joining the university in his life,and his paintings were numerous and widely circulated,which had a profound impact on the development of painting in later generations.This paper mainly studies the painting language of Shen Zhou’s landscape painting from the following four aspects: first,it briefly describes the background of Shen Zhou’s era and his family inheritance of learning landscape painting;Secondly,the painting language characteristics of landscape painting are analyzed from three parts: brush and ink technique,composition management and artistic conception expression.The third is the specific study of Shen Zhou’s landscape paintings,deeply understanding the artistic language of painting and applying what he has learned to practical training in life drawing;Finally,the results of the preliminary research on the painting language of Shen Zhou’s landscape painting are applied to the graduation work,and the problems that arise in the creation process are summarized and reflected.The focus of this project is to gradually grasp the essence of Shen Zhou’s landscape painting language on the basis of learning the language of Shen Zhou’s landscape painting,and integrate it into the painting creation of "Revisited".On the one hand,the author has a theoretical understanding of the painting language of Shen Zhou’s landscape painting through book review and painting analysis,and on the other hand,he further has a practical understanding of this through copying and sketching,and finally integrates theory and practice and applies it to the creation of the "Revisited" series.After this series of creations,I have a deeper understanding of Shen Zhou’s landscape painting language,and also have a new understanding and unique understanding of traditional Chinese landscape painting.
