The narrative perspective is the foundation for constructing films,and as an important component of film narratology,it has received the attention of many theorists.At present,scholars’ research on viewpoints mainly focuses on the definition and classification of viewpoints,and there is relatively little discussion on the functions of viewpoints in practical applications.Movies organize narratives through special sound and picture relationships,and the study of film narratives cannot be separated from the exploration of viewpoint issues,especially the function of creating interest,suspense,and even the plot itself through viewpoints.This article focuses on exploring and studying how narrative perspectives in movies create suspense from the perspective of narratology,striving to explore the formal techniques or laws of creating suspense from narrative perspectives,and using Bong Joon-ho’s films to demonstrate and analyze the narrative and artistic characteristics of his works in depth.This article takes the films directed by Bong Joon-ho as the analysis object,and uses relevant theories such as narratology to demonstrate the internal mechanism and specific expression of perspective in suspense setting.This article is divided into five parts: Introduction,which elaborates on the research motivation and purpose of this topic,summarizes the current research status of Bong Joon-ho’s films,and summarizes the research methods and innovations of the paper;The first chapter briefly introduces the creative overview and suspense setting of Bong Joon-ho’s films,using time as a clue to sort out the seven feature films produced by Bong Joon-ho as a director,and elaborates on the importance of suspense setting in his works;Chapter 2,using narrative theory and other related theories,discusses the internal mechanisms by which narrative perspectives influence viewing angles and guide information allocation,and uses representative film cases such as "Parasites" and "Memories of Murder" as the main arguments in viewpoint design;Chapter 3 summarizes the specific application of narrative perspectives in creating suspense in Bong Joon-ho’s films through subtle observation,and conducts a comprehensive analysis from three levels: drama,visual,and auditory;Chapter 4,from research to personal creation,briefly elaborates on the specific application and shortcomings of theory in practice. |
