Research On The Narrative Of Bong Joon-ho’s Films

Bong Joon-ho is one of the main directors of the young generatio in South Korea,especially good at making crime films.His films have many types of innovation based on the traditional Hollywood narrative.Realism and transcultural narrative are his biggest features.This paper uses the research methods of text research and image research to analyze the seven films that he participated in as a director since he started his career,aiming to sort out and study the realism and transcultural narrative features of Bong Joon-ho’s films.The main body is composed of three chapters.The second chapter combs Bong Joon-ho’s growth and creation background.The third chapter is divided into two parts to study the narrative characteristics of his films,that is,realistic text content construction and transcultural narrative coding.The text content is analyzed from three levels of theme,character and plot,while transcultural narrative is analyzed from three levels of picture,clip and sound.The fourth chapter is the conclusion of this study.
