| In recent years,the changes in the film creation environment and the support of national policies have provided an opportunity for the emergence of Korean films,which later becomes a new force in Asian films.As one of the new-generation directors,Bong Joon-ho has won many awards internationally with his work "Parasite".He is one of the few directors in the film industry who can perfectly combine the artistic and commercial aspects of films.Digging deeper into the connotation of his film,it is not difficult to find that Bong Joon-ho skillfully and powerfully uses "body" as a sustenance to convey the purpose of the narrative.What’s more,his works are full of questions about social issues.So there is no doubt that the exploration of his films are definitely worth it.Based on previous researches on Bong Joon-ho’s films,this thesis analyzes Bong Joon-ho’s films through careful observation.Supported by the theory of body narratology,it aims to carry out a thorough analysis of the narrative methods and characteristics of his films as well as explore the hidden body consciousness and connotation.This thesis applies a combination of various methods including literature analysis,text analysis,case analysis and other methods as well.The first chapter offers an overview of the research significance,research methods and research status.It sorts out the relevant concepts of film body narrative theory and explores the reasons for the rise of somaesthetics and the research status of body narrative aesthetics.Moreover,it expounds the relationship between body narrative and Bong Joon-ho’s films.The second chapter provides an analysis of Bong Joon-ho’s works and his creative characteristics.Taking time as a clue,this chapter sorts out Bong Joon-ho’s six short films and seven feature films so as to explores the flow of narrative discourse in his works.It analyzes the creative features of his works from the aspects of background,type,theme,etc.As a summary of the body narrative strategies in Bong Joon-ho’s films,the third chapter analyzes the symbolic meaning of the body parts narrative in his films,expounds the deep meaning through the limbs,faces,and costumes presented in the works,and explores the relationship between the body and narrative in Bong Joon-ho’s films.In addition,it analyzes the female body image group portraits and women’s self-consciousness expression based on male vision and social power in his films,expresses the body in the predicament of patriarchal society,and the loss and embarrassment of gender and identity,and highlights the body writing of different genders.difference.The fourth chapter analyzes Song Kanghao’s star body and different types of body images in Bong Joon-ho’s films.Through the interpretation of the film,the body image symbols in his films are divided into morbid and alienated bodies,marginal aphasia bodies,innocent children’s bodies,the silent bodies,the power disciplined bodies and the bottom-level resistance bodies.And Chapter 5 discusses the cultural significance behind Bong Joon-ho’s film body narrative,including body and spatial society and body and consumer culture. |
