The Lingui school originated in the late Qing Dynasty and was a school that emerged at the end of classical poetical.Their thoughts of Ci poetry are relatively complex,aggregating multiple influences.The school presented the unique aesthetic style and way of observing Ci poetry.This article discusses the thoughts of the Lingui Ci School from the aspects of Ci,the style of Ci,Ci Methods,and the history of Ci.The introduction part of the paper introduces the social background of the emergence of the Lingui School,sorts out the research status,and explains the significance of the topic.The text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter discusses the Lingui school of Ci,which is the basis of the Lingui school of thoughts of Ci poetry.And it presents the understanding of the Lingui school in the context of complex Ci studies.The Lingui School identified the unique stylistic style of ci from the relationship between poetry,Ci and traditional opera.They developed the understanding of Ci from the aspects of elegant music and bailment.The understanding is based on the unprecedented historical changes faced by the Lingui school,presenting a new aesthetic style.The second chapter explores the style of Ci of the Lingui school,which is the core theory of the Lingui school.The Lingui school advocated the style orientation of“heavy-unsophisticated-broad”.They did not stick to a certain style,nor completely denies a certain style.Instead,it is based on the subjective temperament of the poet.They emphasized the natural style of writing to reflect the profound ideological content and emphasized the true heart of the poet,showing the importance of the creative subject.At the same time,they conceived the creative process of the poet.The “Ci Xin”,the thoughts and emotions of the poet,is the clear heart and broad mind that the poet can still show in the Ci after going through some twists and turns.The “Ci Jing”,the mysterious state of the poet ’s creation,involves the process of conception,which seems to be the process of seeking the heart within the creative subject.But it is actually closely related to the poverty of the poet ’s situation.The third chapter discusses the lexical theory of the Lingui school,which is a study of the method of writing Ci of the Lingui school.The Lingui school attaches great importance to sound rhythm.They believed that sound rhythm plays a vital role in the expression of emotions and style of Ci.They also conducted in-depth research on the four tones.At the same time,they proposed specific methods of writing,implementing the“heavy-clumsy-broad” style orientation into specific creative methods.It puted forward their own thoughts on the composition,syntax and lexicon.The fourth chapter studies the construction of the history of Song Dynasty and Qing Dynasty by the Lingui School.As a school of Ci studies in the late Qing Dynasty,the Lingui School has a summary understanding of the development and evolution of Ci.They attached the most importance to the Ci in the Song Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty,which can be described as having unique insights.The emphasis placed by the Lingui School on Song Ci is appropriate.Their understanding of the history of Ci and impartial attitude in the anthology300 Lyric poetry in the Song Dynasty have transcended sectarian bias,making 300 Lyric poetry in the Song Dynasty a classic work in the anthology of Song Ci.The anthology has a profound influence.The Lingui school’s emphasis on Qing Ci is a manifestation of their ingenuity.They pay special attention to showing a new style that is unique to Qing Ci.It was different from Song Ci.Their choice of Qing Ci is rigorous and prudent,reflecting the unique words of the Lingui school.The Ci theory of Lingui school evolved in the evolution of classical ci theory,the impact of social reality on individual life and the collision of old and new ideas.In the Qing Dynasty,when classical literature was at the end of the period,they studied Ci poetry with an open and rigorous academic mind,absorbed the nutrients of many school thoughts and incorporated them into their ci poetry theories.At the same time,the Ci theory of the Lingui School has always been closely related to their historical background,reflecting their personal choices and aesthetic orientations in special historical periods.Although their conservative political mentality has always made them stay in a corner and passively avoid the world,the Lingui school is good at proofreading and leaving behind many important basic materials for the study of lexicology,which has made indelible contributions to the emergence and development of modern theory.
