| With the acceleration of globalization and the continuous rise of China’s comprehensive national strength,Chinese as one of the six official languages of the United Nations has attracted more and more attention.At the same time,with the proposal of China’s "One Belt,One Road" plan,ASEAN countries attach more importance to the exchange and cooperation with China.It is obvious that Chinese Confucius Institutes are blooming everywhere in Southeast Asian countries,and the number of Southeast Asian students who come to China to learn Chinese is increasing.Therefore,with the vigorous development of international Chinese education today,it is very necessary to have an in-depth understanding of international students themselves and formulate targeted teaching strategies to improve teaching efficiency.In order to improve the teaching efficiency,it is necessary to have a more complete understanding of the learning style of the international students themselves.The author has found that male and female students have different learning styles in foreign teaching practices.So if we want to study the learning styles of foreign students,should we also consider the factor of gender differences among foreign students? Therefore,this paper intends to discuss the learning styles and gender differences of international students.The following are the research steps of this paper.The first is the study of gender differences.The gender differences appear at birth,suggesting that men and women have preconceived predispositions and predispositions in their brains that make them feel things differently,focus on them differently and react or process them differently.Gender differences are also manifested in learning type,personality,self-awareness,achievement motivation,emotional processing,learning style,etc.All of the above factors have an important impact on learning style.Gender differences affect learning style and determine learning style to some extent,so it is necessary to grasp gender differences as a whole.Secondly,the study on the learning style of international students.Guangxi Minzu University has a long history of Chinese as a foreign language,and is an important place for Southeast Asian international students to learn Chinese.In this paper,a questionnaire is sent to Southeast Asian international students to investigate their learning styles.Finally,by studying the correlation between the learning styles of international students and gender differences,specific suggestions are put forward for the teaching of international students of different genders to improve the teaching quality.The results show that the Chinese learning styles of foreign students in Southeast Asia have the following characteristics: perceptual learning styles are mainly auditory;Cognitive learning styles are mainly field independent and analytical.Personality learning styles are mainly introverted,while affective learning styles are influenced by anxiety and motivational learning styles.The male students in Southeast Asia prefer the tactile learning style among the perceptual learning styles.In the cognitive learning style,they not only prefer the field independent learning style,but also prefer the integrated learning style and the contemplative learning style.Among them,the most obvious difference from the overall overseas students’ learning style is that male students in Southeast Asia prefer extroverted learning style.Southeast Asian female students have little difference in the overall learning style,which is mainly reflected in the cognitive learning style,and they tend to be impulsive and intuitive learning style.Therefore,taking gender into consideration,it is essential to conduct practical teaching based on the learning style shown by students as a whole to some parts. |
